Today, i used fragrance storm on my seed of flame, the magic card went to the graveyard, but nothing happened, i didn’t picked any card, neither my seed of flame was destroyed...
how do you want to get over gold ranking with that kind of issue haha.

It's because Seed of Flame misses the timing. You can special summon a monster WHEN it is destroyed. Since the last effect to resolve was drawing a card, not the destruction, it misses the timing.

Same thing for me.
I had a strawberry naturia in my graveyard, i used fragrance storm on my fire seed, i picked two cards that would made me 🔥 a 1800 atk card, but instead of that, my battle field was left empty. -.-
A message poped up saying that i cant do the fire seed effect, but i dont remember why.
Still frustrating haha

So, I keep trying to use seed with assault on the ghq to pull the humonculas out of the grave yard. It’s a level for 4 plant. But it just doesn’t work. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

You have to be able to resolve the special summon effect to trigger the clog. If there isn't anything applicable for the special summon, the effect can't resolve.
