Metalfoes is a Pendulum and Fusion-based deck. The main deck monsters are all normal monsters that share the same pendulum effect to reliably search for the in-archetype fusion spell. The fusion monsters can be made with any Metalfoes monsters with no name restriction, giving the deck a good level of flexibility to deal with varying situations.

Pendulum Change: Basic At the beginning of the Duel, add Pendulum Zones to your field. In addition, the following effect can be used once per Duel. Return 1 Normal Monster Card in your Pendulum Zone to the Deck, and add 1 random Normal Monster with a different name from the Deck to your hand. This Skill can only be used/applied if you begin the Duel with a Deck that contains at least 3 Normal Monsters with different names. | Common |
These Metalfoes main deck monsters are all normal monsters with the same pendulum effect. They can destroy any other face-up card you have on the field so you can get a Metalfoes spell/trap from the deck.
A quick and easy way to remember them:
Since pendulum monsters go to the extra deck when destroyed, you can use their pendulum effect to destroy your monsters to fetch "Metalfoes Fusion", then pendulum summon the destroyed monster back to the field.
With 2 Metalfoes on the field, you can then fuse into any of the Metalfoes fusion monsters using "Metalfoes Fusion" that's searched from the pendulum effect.
Mithrilium lets you recover Metalfoes in your graveyard and has a card removal + a floating effect.
Alkahest has a monster removal quick effect.
Orichalc has 2800 ATK with a pierce effect and a card removal if it gets destroyed.

Raremetalfoes Bismugear | FIRE Psychic ★1 ATK 0 / DEF 0 |
Braver Victory [SR] | |
Pendulum Effect Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up card you control; destroy it, and if you do, Set 1 "Metalfoes" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck. Monster Effect If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can add 1 "Metalfoes" monster from your Deck to your hand during the End Phase of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Raremetalfoes Bismugear" once per turn. |
Raremetalfoes Bismugear's Pendulum Effect can be used once per turn to destroy a face-up card on your field, and then set a Metalfoes Spell/Trap directly from your deck. This can help you search for the cards you need to further your plays.
Additionally, if Raremetalfoes Bismugear is destroyed by battle or card effect, its Monster Effect allows you to add 1 Metalfoes monster from your Deck to your hand during the End Phase of the turn. This can help you get the resources you need to continue your plays in the following turns.
These Kozmo Monsters could potentially be useful for their destruction effects especially Kozmo Strawman could be used as a way to Special Summon higher-level Kozmo monsters.
Kozmoll Dark Lady | DARK Psychic ★5 ATK 2200 / DEF 1800 |
Future Circuit [SR] | |
During either player's turn: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 6 or higher "Kozmo" monster from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kozmoll Dark Lady" once per turn. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when another monster's effect is activated: You can pay 1000 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster. |
Dark Lady is a Level 5 Dark Pilot with Monster Negation Effect by paying 1000 LPs (This effect can be used during either player's turn) and also High-Level Monster Summon which is quite good as Field Presence by declaring Continue Chain Attack at the start against those monsters who under 2200 ATK.
Kozmo Forerunner | LIGHT Machine ★7 ATK 2800 / DEF 1400 |
Future Circuit [R] | |
Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects. During your Standby Phase: Gain 1000 LP. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck. |
It’s a Level 7 Big Ship with a 2800 ATK Stat that can help you recover 1000 LPs once per turn during your Standby Phase and it cannot be targeted by the opponent's Card Effect.
Kozmo Sliprider | LIGHT Machine ★5 ATK 2300 / DEF 800 |
Future Circuit [R] | |
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck. |
A Level 5 Battleship with 2300 ATK stat that destroys a Spell/Trap card whenever it is Normal or Special Summoned which makes this card great since it gives the option to take card Back-row with Good Attack Power.
Kozmo Strawman | LIGHT Psychic ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 1800 |
Future Circuit [R] | |
During either player's turn: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 3 or higher "Kozmo" monster from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kozmo Strawman" once per turn. Once per turn: You can pay 500 LP, then target 1 of your banished "Kozmo" monsters; Special Summon it, but its effects are negated, also destroy it during the End Phase. |
A Level 2 Pilot with 500 ATK that has an effect that lets you pay 500 LPs to summon a banished Kozmo with its effect negated and it will be destroyed at the End Phase (EP). The fact that the monster gets destroyed during EP means that you can also use the Ship Replacement Effect to maintain your field presence. Or you can also use that Revived Ship as Xyz Summon Combo Material.
Kozmo Landwalker | DARK Machine ★6 ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 |
Future Circuit [N] | |
If a "Kozmo" card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, you can destroy 1 other "Kozmo" card you control instead. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck. |
Kozmo Landwalker's effect to protect "Kozmo" cards from destruction by allowing you to destroy another "Kozmo" card instead can help keep your field presence intact. Additionally, its ability to Special Summon a Level 5 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck upon being sent to the Graveyard can be a helpful way to swarm the field with additional monsters.
Since the Metalfoes main deck monsters are considered normal monsters, you can use some strong normal monster support cards like these to help make a play or replenish resources.
Monsters that are special summoned from their effects are destroyed during the end phase, so you'll have to use them to either Xyz or fusion.
Rescue Rabbit | EARTH Beast ★4 ATK 300 / DEF 100 |
Infinite Ray [UR] Selection Box Vol.05 [UR]
Cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can banish this face-up card you control; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Destroy them during the End Phase. You can only use the effect of "Rescue Rabbit" once per turn. |
A pretty good opener since it can special summon monsters from your deck or potentially force out your opponent's backrow to prevent this.
While there aren't any combos for which monster to summon, Goldriver is probably the best one to bring out since it has decent ATK, which you can potentially pendulum summon back after using for a fusion/Xyz.
Rescue Hamster | EARTH Beast ★4 ATK 300 / DEF 100 |
Chaotic Soldiers [UR] | |
Pendulum Effect You can banish this card from your Pendulum Zone; add 2 face-up Pendulum Monster Cards with the same name from your Extra Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Rescue Hamster" once per Duel. Monster Effect During the turn this card was Normal Summoned, if you have a face-up Level 5 or lower Pendulum Monster Card in your Extra Deck: You can Tribute this card; choose 1 Level 5 or lower Pendulum Monster Card in your Extra Deck, and Special Summon 2 monsters from your Deck with the same name as that card, but their effects are negated, also they are destroyed during the End Phase. |
Pendulum effect is pretty good to get some resources back and it's a decent follow-up after using Rabbit's effect, but it's only usable once per duel.
The monster effect works somewhat similarly to Rabbit, but with a small restriction. You can still make a turn 1 play with this if you have any 2 Metalfoes monsters in your hand simply by putting both of them into the scales and activate one of their pendulum effects to destroy the other so it goes into the extra deck.
Keep in mind that Volflame is level 7, which means you want to not destroy Volflame if you want to use Hamster's on field effect.
Both are used for Metalfoes Fusion or LINK Materials. You can also set these two cards in Pendulum Zones and destroy them by Metalfoes monsters' Pendulum Effect which can allow them to set a "Metalfoes" Spell/Trap card directly from the Deck. This allows Metalfoes players to easily search for Fullmetalfoes Fusion or Metalfoes Fusion to generate an advantage on the field.
Qliphort Scout | EARTH Machine ★5 ATK 1000 / DEF 2800 |
Energy of Gigarays [SR]
Pendulum Effect You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Qli" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Once per turn: You can pay 800 LP; add 1 "Qli" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Qliphort Scout". During the End Phase, if you Tribute Summoned this turn: You can draw a number of cards equal to the number of "Qli" monsters you Tributed for Tribute Summons this turn. Summoners Art | Normal Spell |
Bakura (DSOD) at Lvl 14 and 23 [UR]
Add 1 Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from your Deck to your hand. |
Used to search out Level 5 or Higher Normal Monsters like Metalfoes Volflame and Qliphort Scout or Monolith.
Painful Decision | Normal Spell |
Servants of Kings [SR] | |
Send 1 Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, add 1 monster with the same name as that card from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Painful Decision" per turn. |
Painful Decision allows you to add a copy of Metalfoes Monsters from your Deck to your hand by sending another copy of the same card from your Deck to the Graveyard.
Fullmetalfoes Fusion | Quick Spell |
Card Trader [UR] | |
Fusion Summon 1 "Metalfoes" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials. |
A good Quick-Play Metalfoes Fusion Spell Card. You can use this card to Fusion Summon "Fullmetalfoes Alkahest" during your opponent's turn or get rid of disruption backrows like Floodgate Trap Hole.
Metalfoes Fusion | Normal Spell |
Maximum Gustav [R] | |
Fusion Summon 1 "Metalfoes" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials. If this card is in your GY: You can shuffle it into the Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Metalfoes Fusion" once per turn. |
Core card in the deck so you can bring out the boss monsters, and it's pretty easy to use since all the fusions can use any Metalfoes monsters. After using it, you can use it in the grave right away for a card draw.
You can reliably search this with any of the Metalfoes' pendulum effect, so having just 1 copy of this is fine, but having 2 can help increase the odds of getting it without having to destroy a card you control, and a safety net in case one of them gets banished.
Keep in mind that using monsters from your hand will make your Metalfoes pendulum monsters go into the grave, while using the ones in your field will put them into the extra deck. This matters depending on what follow-up you plan on doing. Hamster or Pendulum Paradox for the extra deck, while Mithrilium needs monsters in your graveyard.
Metalfoes Combination | Continuous Trap |
Maximum Gustav [N] | |
Once per turn, if a Fusion Monster is Fusion Summoned: You can target 1 "Metalfoes" monster in your Graveyard with a lower Level than that Fusion Monster; Special Summon it. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Metalfoes" monster from your Deck to your hand. |
Metalfoes Combination is a powerful card that can be a useful addition to a Metalfoes deck.
Its effect of Special Summoning a "Metalfoes" monster from your graveyard with a lower level than the Fusion Monster that was Fusion Summoned can be very beneficial for maintaining field presence and continuing your plays. This can allow you to bring back important monsters that you may have used as material for the Fusion Summon, or simply to increase the number of monsters on your field.
In addition, the second effect of Metalfoes Combination of adding a "Metalfoes" monster from your deck to your hand when it is sent from the field to the graveyard can help you search for the specific monsters you need for your strategy.
Metalfoes Mithrilium | FIRE Psychic ★6 ATK 2600 / DEF 1000 |
Maximum Gustav [UR] | |
1 "Metalfoes" monster + 1 Pendulum Monster You can target 2 "Metalfoes" cards in your GY and 1 card on the field; shuffle the targets from your GY into the Deck, and if you do, return the target on the field to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Metalfoes Mithrilium" once per turn. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Metalfoes" Pendulum Monster from your GY or face-up Extra Deck. |
A pretty versatile monster to bring out since it has decent ATK, monster removal, GY recovery, and a floating effect.
However, it can be tricky since cards mainly only go into the graveyard if you use Fusion using monsters in your hand. Mithrilium can also recover the spells and traps as part of the cost as well, but it's often better to use Fusion in the grave for the additional draw instead.
Fullmetalfoes Alkahest | FIRE Psychic ★1 ATK 0 / DEF 0 |
Maximum Gustav [SR] | |
1 "Metalfoes" monster + 1 Normal Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster on the field; equip that target to this card. This card gains DEF equal to the combined original ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect. You can use monsters you control equipped to this card you control as material for the Fusion Summon of a "Metalfoes" Fusion Monster that lists them as materials. |
A pretty decent monster to bring out if you get first turn. Getting Metalfoes Counter and Alkahest on the field is the best defense this deck can offer if it gets turn 1. Just be sure to always summon this in defense since it can't gain any ATK at all.
Its ability to suck up a monster during your opponent's turn is a quick-effect, making it a very good disruption tool. The monsters equipped to it can then be used for either Metalfoes Fusion or to be destroyed with any of the Metalfoes main deck monsters' pendulum effect to fetch Fusion/Counter.
Metalfoes Orichalc | FIRE Psychic ★8 ATK 2800 / DEF 2200 |
Maximum Gustav [R] | |
2 "Metalfoes" monsters If a "Metalfoes" monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict double piercing battle damage to your opponent. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. |
High ATK with a good piercing effect to help deal damage. This can work better if you also pair it with cards to switch your opponent's monsters into defense like Windstorm of Etaqua, Book of Moon, Paleozoic Canadia, etc.
Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior | EARTH Warrior ATK 2500 / LINK 3 |
Link Revolution [UR] | |
2+ Link Monsters If this card is Link Summoned: Draw cards equal to the number of "World Chalice" monsters this card points to. You can only use this effect of "Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior" once per turn. Once per turn: You can send 1 card from each player's field to the GYs. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster from your hand. |
Ningirsu has an awesome effect, non targeting non destruction removal which is good to counter against Monster that cannot be targeted or destroyed.
Security Dragon | LIGHT Cyberse ATK 1100 / LINK 2 |
Selection Box Vol.02 Super Mini [SR]
2 monsters Once while face-up on the field, if this card is co-linked: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; return it to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Security Dragon" once per turn. |
A Link 2 Monster with Compulsory Evacuation Device's effect while Security Dragon is co-linked which is great combo disruptive tech to your opponent.
Imduk the World Chalice Dragon | WIND Dragon ATK 800 / LINK 1 |
Link Revolution [R] | |
1 Normal Monster, except a Token During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent's monster this card points to: You can destroy that opponent's monster. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster from your hand. |
Can be summoned by 1 Metalfoes Monster except for Raremetalfoes Bismugear. Imduk can destroy the monster that this card points to at the start of the Damage Step without Damage Calculation.
Link Disciple | LIGHT Cyberse ATK 500 / LINK 1 |
Link Revolution [R] | |
1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster You can Tribute 1 monster this card points to; draw 1 card, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Link Disciple" once per turn. |
Link Disciple allows you to draw a card and cycle a card from your hand. It can also as a Filter Draw Strategy to tribute 1 monster this card points to; usually used to get rid of Knightmare Corruptor Iblee that was special summoned to your field by the opponent.
Archfiend Eccentrick | LIGHT Fiend ★3 ATK 800 / DEF 1000 |
Selection Box Vol.01 Super Mini [UR]
Pendulum Effect You can target 1 other Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy both it and this card. You can only use this effect of "Archfiend Eccentrick" once per turn. Monster Effect You can Tribute this card, then target 1 monster on the field; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Archfiend Eccentrick" once per turn. |
Decent filler in any pendulum deck that can also pendulum summon a level 3. This doubles as both a monster or a spell/trap removal card.
However, outside of pendulum summoning it to the field, you can't reliably recover this if you want to use the pendulum effect again unless you use Mithrilium to return it from the field.
