1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Winged Beast-Type monsters When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck.
Can special summon Winged-Beast monsters from your deck.
Can only activate effect when it is destroyed by battle and sent to graveyard.
Needs semi-specific Synchro materials to summon.
Effect may not be worth the summoning cost.
Here are some Tuners that are able to special summon Winged-Beasts from your graveyard so that you can Synchro summon Vortex the Whirlwind easier. As of now Junk Synchron and Blizzard the Far North are only exclusive to character skills, so these skills are good for summoning Vortex the Whirlwind.
You can use Vortex the Whirlwind to special summon Winged-Beast type Gladiator Beast monsters from your deck. Their effects would not be activated because they were not special summoned by a Gladiator Beast monster. However searching them out and using them to attack can start your special summoning combo.
Oh my gawd it's not a bug. 1,2,3 are always treated as Harpie lady. . . ALWAYS, meaning in the deck too. Rule of 3. Also why would you even want to run 2 or 3 they are not good, especially in this format.
Remember some real stupid dudes believed Dynatherium was "garbo", those players usually know absolutely NOTHING about the game, but yeah, they are the first coming here and start running their mouth to spout a lot of non sense.
It's quite a decent tech, maybe they are going to release Harpy Queen or the Field soon, y'know
Almost every deck in the current meta have some sort of destruction/banish effect, which won't trigger this card's effect and make this card really useless to summon. If you are able to create a level 5 synchro, just make another far more useful monster that doesn't have to wait until your opponent attacks it or suicide it to your opponent monster just to activate its effect.
I like it as an extra tech that can be played in a Winged Beast deck. Like Harpies are a lot of level 4s, you can play a Changer Synchron tech with this to put a monster in defense when needed, and it gains the attack bonus from Harpies' Hunting Ground. Also, he allows you to be less afraid of running into stuff like Wall of Disruption or Mirror Wall.
How is this not a Blackwing?
It's even named similar to them.
What people does not understand is that sometimes it's not about if the card is good enough or meta breaking or something like that...
It's a synchro that takes ups the level 5 spot for winged beasts decks, maybe they don't want to play Wayne or Chaser and this comes great for that decks. Even if they don't summon it often. Since it's in the extra deck it just gives other options.
