1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If you would take damage from a card effect, place 1 Black Feather Counter on this card instead. This card loses 700 ATK for each Black Feather Counter on it. Once per turn: You can remove all Black Feather Counters on this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; that target loses 700 ATK for each Black Feather Counter you removed, and if it does, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK lost by this effect.

Pros

  • Negates effect damage.
  • Can decrease your opponent's monsters' attack.
  • Inflicts effect damage to your opponent equal to debuff.

Cons

  • Debuff effects needs to accumulate counters first which is slow.
  • Debuffs itself while negating effect damage.

Tips

  • Black-Winged Dragon will still negate effect damage and produce Black Feather Counters even when it's attack goes down to 0.

Take Effect Damage

Summon Lava Golem to remove monsters from your opponent's field and then take back your Lava Golem. Lava Golem will provide your Black-Winged Dragon with a continuous source of Black Feather Counters and Black-Winged Dragon will negate the effect damage from Lava Golem.
Activate Burning Land to inflict 500 damage to your opponent every turn while your effect damage will be negated by Black-Winged Dragon and turned into Black Feather Counters to use against your opponent.

Reverse Trap

When you have gain a lot of counters use Reverse Trap to turn all those decreased attack into buffs that could easily put your Black-Winged Dragon as the strongest monster on the field. Do this while your opponent is attack to destroy their monster and possibly deal enough damage to win.

This guy must have assumed it was Xyz before Synchro since that was how it was in Arc-V
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah the Four Dimension Dragons in ARC-V were introduced in reverse order of the introduction of their Summoning mechanics (Pendulum came first, then Xyz, then Synchro, and finally Fusion)

Imagine the cheesy interactions with Skull Invitation. You can activate random spells, traps and mill effects for the 300 (blocked) damage and burn your opponent to death.

You need some archetype that focus to shift your card to the GY and can synchro summon easily. I have played this card with BW and reptilianne but still struggles to be a consistent deck at platinum. Reptilianne can shift monster to GY pretty easily, but hard to do synchro lvl 8. While BW can do synchro lvl 8 better, you have little option to shift the card to GY.

It's not an effect and doesn't deal damage, so... Sure, why not...

*Blackfeather Dragon.

And it's Black-Winged Dragon's Japanese name.

Honestly the Japanese music is no better than the 4kids music. I'd say the 4kids music is the best to be honest.

It goes back and forth for me, but I’d personally say the Japanese music is typically better than the 4kids versions imo

This card isn't that good in a blackwing deck...no archetype synergy and I'd rather use those 8 levels for Silverwind. Can see this being real irritating in a burn deck though..

Because this card is not a Blackwing

Does paying life points activate the effect of Blackwing Dragon?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Considering that isn't damage and is almost never taken via an effect...
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
No. Because effect damage and a cost to use a card are different things. Much like the discarding effect and the discarding cost of other cards arent the same thing.

Basically the same rules applied like dark world?

How to use Lava Golem in combination with black winged dragon? Right now I don't know what cards allow me to take back my Lava Golem

Owner deal.

But I can almost smell it being inconsistent.

Don't take back Laval Golem; use burning land for yourself and use him as the target for BWD. One activation and he can't beat over you anymore.

holy shet just got it with prismatic

BURAK FEAZAR DORAGON!!!

The gemini Archetype can summon 8 level shyncros very easy, so this is another great addition for that deck
