You'd be much better off using Destruct Potion or Mystik Wok.

Plenty of fire monsters have effects that activate when they are destroyed (NOT tributed). this card should be used to activate such effects, not just for the printed damage. Also kickfire is a thing.

Useless? Hardly. This is useful for decks based on sending monsters to the graveyard.
