Thank you for sharing your tips with us IGN: SirSvogalot!
The season in march I ended KOG, too, so I started obviously in legendary 1. But from there I managed to get to KOG with Yosenjus. The Youtuber "Duel Link Meta" gave me Inspiration on how to build the deck. But since I'm missing the drowning Mirror Forces I had to replace them to make it much cheaper.
I used the character YAMI MARIK with the skill DRAW SENSE: FIRE to get Lava Golem since there is very good synergy with Yosenju kama 1 and Yosenjus‘ Sword Sting.

Draw Sense: Fire Can be used each time your Life Points decrase by 1500. In the Draw Phase, instead of doing a normal draw, draw a random Fire attribute monster. | Yami Marik |
So the main strategy is to bounce back your opponents Monsters to clear the way for your 1-3 yosenju Monsters you summon to attack.
Yosenju Kama 1 | WIND Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1600 / DEF 500 |
Masters of Shadow [SR] | |
If this card is Normal Summoned, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 "Yosenju" monster from your hand, except "Yosenju Kama 1". If you control another "Yosenju" monster: You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; return it to the hand. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. During the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: Return it to the hand. |
Yosenju Kama 2 | WATER Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 200 |
Spirit of the Beast [SR]
If this card is Normal Summoned, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 "Yosenju" monster from your hand, except "Yosenju Kama 2". This card can attack your opponent directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved. During the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: Return it to the hand. |
Yosenju Kama 3 | WIND Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1500 / DEF 800 |
Spirit of the Beast [SR]
If this card is Normal Summoned, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 "Yosenju" monster from your hand, except "Yosenju Kama 3". When another "Yosenju" monster you control inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 "Yosenju" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Yosenju Kama 3". You can only use this effect of "Yosenju Kama 3" once per turn. During the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: Return it to the hand. |
First I tried to replace the drowning Mirror Forces with 3 copies of Yosenjus secret move. But then I realized that the counter trap is way too slow since it can only be activated during your next turn after you set it due to the fact that you won't have any Yosenjus on your side of the field during your opponents turn. So your opponent gets enough time to pop them without having a chance to counter with them.
Yosenjus Secret Move | Counter Trap |
Spirit of the Beast [R] | |
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated while you control at least 1 "Yosenju" card, and all face-up monsters you control are "Yosenju" monsters: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. |
So I replaced them with Sphere Kuriboh, a second copy of Yosenju Oyam and a third copy of Yosenju kama 3. Sphere Kuriboh to gain you some time, the same issue for Oyam but with the better effect, to stop almost every attack when summoned in defense Position as Long as your opponent's Monsters have their original ATK. Kama 3 I put a third copy since it is the searcher and it can summon another Yosenju and you can discard it for Yosenju Oyam.
Sphere Kuriboh | DARK Fiend ★1 ATK 300 / DEF 200 |
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. |
Yosenju Oyam | WIND Beast ★6 ATK ? / DEF ? |
Spirit of the Beast [N] | |
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can send 1 "Yosenju" monster from your hand to the Graveyard, except "Yosenju Oyam"; Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Yosenju Oyam" once per turn. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent's face-up monster: You can make this card's ATK and DEF become equal to the original ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the end of this turn. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Yosenju" card from your Deck to your hand. |
To bounce back Cards you have:
Yosenjus Sword Sting | Normal Trap |
Spirit of the Beast [UR]
If you control no monsters: Reveal up to 2 "Yosenju" monsters with different names in your hand, then target the same number of face-up cards your opponent controls; return them to the hand. You can only activate 1 "Yosenjus' Sword Sting" per turn. |
To deal with big Monsters who cant be targeted you have Lava Golem.
Lava Golem | FIRE Fiend ★8 ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 |
Yami Marik [UR] Yami Marik event [UR] Yami Marik Starter Deck [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field by Tributing 2 monsters they control. You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you Special Summon this card. During each of your Standby Phases: Take 1000 damage. |
Otherwise, you can play around big Monsters with Yosenju kama 2 and hopefully boost him with Yosenju Tsujik to inflict 1400 direct battle Damage.
Yosenju Tsujik | WIND Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 1000 / DEF 0 |
Spirit of the Beast [R] | |
During the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: Return it to the hand. You can only use each of these effects of "Yosenju Tsujik" once per turn. ● During either player's Damage Step, when a "Yosenju" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can discard this card; that monster you control gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. ● You can target 1 "Yosenju" monster on the field; it gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. |
Yosenju Izna | WIND Beast-Warrior ★4 ATK 800 / DEF 1200 |
Spirit of the Beast [R] | |
Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: Return it to the hand. You can only use each of the following effects of "Yosenju Izna" once per turn. ● You can discard this card; this turn, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when a "Yosenju" monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned. ● If you control another "Yosenju" monster: You can draw 1 card. |
Yosenju Izna: I only use to summon to draw a Card. I never use the discard-effect because the only real threat you could avoid is a Monster Effect Negation. But since the only universally used monster negation Fiendish Chain is not seen that often, there is very little reason to do so.
Kiteroid | WIND Machine ★1 ATK 200 / DEF 400 |
Card Trader [SR] | |
Activate when you discard this card from your hand during damage calculation after a direct attack. Any Battle Damage you would receive from that direct attack becomes 0. Only once, if you remove this card from the game when it is in your Graveyard, any Battle Damage you would receive from a direct attack becomes 0. |
Fiendish Chain | Continuous Trap |
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
Activate this card by targeting 1 Effect Monster on the field; negate that face-up monster's effects, also that face-up monster cannot attack. When it is destroyed, destroy this card. |
Drowning Mirror Force | Normal Trap |
Gaia Genesis [UR] | |
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: Shuffle all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls into the Deck. |
