If you control a Level 7 or higher Normal Monster, when a monster would be Summoned OR a Spell/Trap Card is activated: Negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

Rating	8.5 / 10

The effect negating the summon or activation is very powerful. You will use this card when your deck is specialized to special summon high level monsters.

Tips, related cards, skills

Blue-Eyes White Dragon

A good option to use Champion's Vigilance with. It has high attack and good defense, but it's also easy to use with BEWD because Kaibaman is available and you can obtain multiple copies without buying packs.

Phoenix Gearfried

Good in a gemini deck but a little trickier to use since summoning this using Blazewing Butterfly or with Superalloy Beast Raptinus on the field, this will become an effect monster.

Any deck advice??just started playing, was looking into blue eyes?but after reading that it is not so great...Any other suggestions? ?

Spellbooks, comes from a mini box and you can cn build a decent 30 card version with a few copies of each book.

I use Kaibaman and Blue-Eyes White Dragon, playing versus Sylvan Deck, all my cards have no chance against Sylvans effects, because they can destroy the Blue-Eyes and also destroy my trap. These Sylvans can take you down in the Second Turn with that Champion Carrot, the Giant Tree and another Silvan guy. If you put better traps, Kaibaman and Blue-Eyes don't stand a chance.

Blue eyes is trash and you should go for a better deck

Can konami lift the ban on this card from 1 to 2 atleast, with sylvans and spellbooks in the meta vanilla decks dont stand a chance without this card. Decks made with these wont even be competitive so can they make it two so we can have fun...

Can you only have one normal monster on the field? Because I had 2 BEWD and Dark Paladin. I was against 3 other BEWD. My opponent drain shielded my 6900 DP attack, then I went with BEWD 3200 attack against his 2700 defense position BEWD, he wall of disruptioned me so it was 800 vs 2700 and I couldn't activate champion's vigilance? I had like 1100HP left so I lost the game. Imagine losing against dragons with Dark Paladin lmao.

CV work with 2 too, so either you can't counter during damage step or you tried to use it the turn you set it?

They need to unnerf this immediately! They limited it during a time when the meta was all about Ancient Rules and the beginning of Red Eyes decks. It would be a great field-leveler against many higher tier decks.

Yeah, it would be Toadally Awesome if this happens.

Konami's OCG/TCG branch moved down cards in the banlist if they're no longer harmful to the meta, the DL branch should do the same.

Why does Champion's vigilance not counter Magical Arm Schield? I couldn't activate it even with 2 BEWD on the field.

Not sure bud, it should counter spells AND traps as well as summons - did you try to play it on the turn you set it? Not sure how new you are to the game but it’s common knowledge that trap cards can’t be activated on your turn, don’t mean to be rude lol, just checking your understanding of the game :)

The big problem with champion's vigilance is timing. It can't counter any spell or trap cards that are used in a chain, or that have a cost because an action takes place before the card "activates" it's affect, screwing up the timing for vigilance. As for magical armshield, I'm not sure why it would fail to negate that unless perhaps you had your toggle "off" or if they were chaining multiple effc
