Banishes an opponent’s monster.
Banishes from your opponent’s graveyard.

Cons

Requires a discard cost.

Tips

Very useful against archetypes with monsters that change their name in the graveyard. For example Skull Servant, Cyber Dragon, and Dark Magician.

Raigeki Break

Karma Cut is generally a superior version of Raigeki Break because banishing is more powerful than simple destruction and because Karma Cut can disrupt your opponent’s graveyard.

Fabled

The discarding a Fabled monster as the cost of Karma Cut can trigger their effects.

i hate this card. by discarding an effect monster which activates in the graveyard gives the player an unfair advantage. konami *again* geared this toward their meta decks like dark magician and blue eyes white dragon. very dissappointed to see that it isn't limited

Agree, it's SR so it will likely have the same fate as bottomless trap hole. I believe it will be semi-limited by the end of february.

well if it's Karma Cut chained into Timaeus then it's obvious

Karma Cut resolve first, and Timaeus can't resolve properly because its target is now gone, and you can't summon with just Timaeus alone, you need the DM monster too

I think this one is a different matter comparing to "it or that target"

"same original Type as that monster's", the monster has to be face-up on the field for Super Team Buddy Force Unite! to resolve anyway. As face-down monsters have no original type

Unless it is specified in the text like "Mask Change", otherwise generally I believe face-down cards lose all identities and card effects that require name, type, lv, attributes, ATK/DEF will resolve with nothing.

If you floodgates a normal summoned Black Wing, Black Whirlwind resolves with nothing. Same as a floodgated Destiny HERO - Drilldark

the real problem with cards like karma and fiendish that the canc e r deck will also use it while it was meant to counter those can c er de c ks.thats the problem.komoney should only let non ca n ce r de c ks use these car d s
so shiranooie blue eyes gouki etc shouldnt be able to use these cards.
or better nerf monsters so you dont need this cards .but then you couldnt sell new cards for money?poor money hungry komoney.

Yugioh has always been all about backrow the moment the game start getting powerful backrow cards.

Even controlling a 5k ATK monster is pointless if you don't have the backrow to protect it, because your opponent now WILL try to stop it with effect (since getting over ATK that high is too difficult, but it's doable with effect)

Its nothing new in Yugioh

In the future, its all about handtrap. Meanwhile, monsters on the field will consist of something that can negate. You could say it was a new era of backrow, with an exact same method, which is disrupting your opponent.

basically instead of disrupting your opponent with spell/trap, the game shifts into disrupting your opponent with monster effect, both on the field and in your hand.
