If you chained something to flip your own monster face-down, and it's face-down when karma cut resolves, karma cut resolves with no effect and yes it will dodge karma cut.
Because wordings in karma cut is "banish that target".
If the wordings were "banish it", then flipping it face-down will not save it
I think this one is a different matter comparing to "it or that target"
"same original Type as that monster's", the monster has to be face-up on the field for Super Team Buddy Force Unite! to resolve anyway. As face-down monsters have no original type
Unless it is specified in the text like "Mask Change", otherwise generally I believe face-down cards lose all identities and card effects that require name, type, lv, attributes, ATK/DEF will resolve with nothing.
If you floodgates a normal summoned Black Wing, Black Whirlwind resolves with nothing. Same as a floodgated Destiny HERO - Drilldark
only if u g 1st turn to put canadia, if u g 2nd turn then ur question is useless, most effect card except monster need to set 1st b4 u can activate the effect
