Evaluation

RatingA-

Pros

  • Banishes an opponent’s monster.
  • Banishes from your opponent’s graveyard.

Cons

  • Requires a discard cost.

Tips

  • Very useful against archetypes with monsters that change their name in the graveyard. For example Skull Servant, Cyber Dragon, and Dark Magician.

Raigeki Break

Karma Cut is generally a superior version of Raigeki Break because banishing is more powerful than simple destruction and because Karma Cut can disrupt your opponent’s graveyard.

Fabled

The discarding a Fabled monster as the cost of Karma Cut can trigger their effects.

Barely see this card anymore (except with blue eyes since it's the boss card of the deck)

I guess it's redundant if your skill already gives you free disruption and board presence just by tapping a yellow button

Just fueled against a D-Hero user. I have a question about the ruling:

I Synchro Summoned Azure-Eyes, and it’s effect activates. In response, my opponent chains Karma Cut. Because Azure-Eyes protects against targeting, which Karma Cut does, shouldn’t my Azure-Eyes have been protected?

Azure-Eyes effect didn't resolve yet, so...

Karma Cut resolved first in that chain link, then followed by Azure-Eyes' effect. The protection would still linger for other dragon-type monsters on your field but it was too late for Azure-Eyes itself.

Will they ever have the balls to limit this card? It shouldn't even hurt Blue-Eyes.

It's 🔥 when Harpies abuses this card to search when they're already hiding behind every staple in the game.

The limit system in duel links had the potential to finally achieve what everyone wanted: m€m€ decks able to run all staples necessary to compete while op decks get deprived from them without really destroying said decks

Alas their greediness got the best of them for nth time and the list is became a mechanism to push sales

Omg blue eyes boss monsters

nasty in blue eyes deck, or deck that use monster eff in GY, regular deck has trouble dealing with this trap

thank god this card exists. there is WAY WAY WAY too much graveyard abuse in this game. might as well just call the graveyard “hand number 2”
Anonymous
We still don't have any limit 1 staple. This should be the best card to fit into that status.

Drowning M.F. is a battle trap that can be taken out or removed.

Also, Konami usually (if not always) hits cards when the majority of users start using one or more broken card(s) and/or deck(s).

Hasn't karma cut been in the top 3 of used traps for more than a year?

Onomat once got 2 XYZ on board cant do much either. one of their effect negates lvl 5 and above summoning. The other one negates monster effect activates on the field...But

There is but... monster effect have 2 types, one activated in response certain condition. The other one activated without targeted effect.

I gave good example. Tried already. Evilswarm halverk effect if attacked, target 1 monster opponent control return to hand, this one can be negated by XYZ Onomat. Kelbek effect any monster attack this card return to hand, this one cant be negated unless by counter trap

Understand !!

Not to mention Onomats don't play XYZ. I mean sure you can splash those Machine Unions in, but why would you do that? It only brick the deck to bring XYZ in.

If you want to play XYZ just play an XYZ-focused deck. Adding VW is a nice idea too.

I play Infernity and I must clarify that doesn't apply to it. Onomat, on the other hand, has that beyond broken skill and Dodododraw.
Infernity is a handless deck. Onomat is a brickless deck.
