Many opponents were caught off guard. The axe of despair is a magic card but is a monster, this is very strong for the first turn.

A comment from Kurotsuga:
This is my first time at KOG, mostly because I decided to actually put effort into building meta decks. I used Neos fusion to get to Legend, but it ultimately failed me in, so I switched to a Red-Eyes build. The build is fairly standard with a couple of techs that I'm not too sure are commonly used.
I like using A/D changer and see it as a matched set with Sazank, the basic combo for early lethal being Red-Eyes Fusion using A/D changer, set Sazank, and use A/D changer to flip Sazank and clear an opponents monster then push for lethal with slash dragon and Sazank. I also teched in Buster Blader to deal with the mirror and Blue-Eyes. If I had the ingredients for a first turn slash dragon and was unsure about my opponent's deck I use BB as my warrior target for fusion so that he can be summoned later.
I like spirit over retro dragon so that I can ditch my archfiend with insight and be able to pull it back even if my field is cleared. I just tried Baby dragon and had a couple of solid pushes by crashing it into bigger monsters to pull a bigger Red-Eyes monster to the field. Obnoxious Celtic guard is there for pure stall potential, mainly used for stalling out power of the guardians until Sazank can hit the field, but I may try the deck with black stone of legend over Celtic Guardian for a more turbo/aggressive playstyle.
Archfiend is a must have card, being able to clear most common threats or burn neos fusion's protection makes this deck able to ruin opponents big plays and can often be impossible for them to recover from and it is easy enough to pull back that he can be used over a couple of turns to deal with Yubel. Only other tip is to be very cautious of drowning mirror force, this deck has allot of recovery potential if your board gets wiped, but if your monsters get sent to the deck you suddenly have a more difficult time recovering.

Choosed SSA due to its great matchups against red-eyes and neos. Blue-eyes is also good if they don't open with 2-3 spirits. Against amazoness remember to play around lava golem and you should be fine.

A comment from Turles:
The most annoying part is to get the skill. Pretty easy to use and works really well in this meta. Be careful with the baits and remember that not even Lvl8 can negate Silent Swordsman Slash

A comment from Kortezzy:
Tips:
Imporant: You can bounce your own monster with enishi to activate dual wield, this can surprise many deck thinking that it is not live. (You can also dodge lava golem too but do so at your own risk)
When facing neos try to not get trigger happy and go into armades if a monster is set. The set monster will most likely be a suzunk, soldier, or other flip effects.
Also hope they don't have lava golem it gets rid of your shi ens and lets them activate spells. Try to play around d draw or mony draw (kiaba corp bling).
In addition, the neos fusion spell protects neos fusions so try to bounce it with enishi or dual wield.
In the mirror set fuma if you can't summon a Shi en with protection. Sometimes a lone shi en can work but most times your opponent can just beat over it. You can also try econ and sam spell that special summons based on stats to bait or get around dual wield and a negation.
For burn try to rely on dual wield and you negations. Don't summon 2 monsters if you have if you don't have game.

Small note: I play this deck from rank legendary 1 to KOG and make KOG with this list has been very easy, one of the best card of the the deck is nobleman of crossout because it is incredible against cards like cipher soldier, The White Stone of Ancients, sazank, Fuma, ecc. Enemy controller is a great card that saves a lot of match. I don' t play armades and powered inzektor because I don' t have them.

A comment from Francesko:
I used yubel from leg 1 to leg 2 than switched to this. The core of the deck is familiar so I will just discuss the tech:
I found Nobleman Crossout to work the best with this since i was facing many Weevil stal decks, helps you get rid of Sazank. Kuriboh is for the otk stops, you can replace it with an econ or third dual wield, but after 16th you might consider running it along with 3 wields since the dojo is getting semi-limited. Samsara dragon can be replaced with Rihan, I was fortunate enough to have one, came up clutch against red/blue eyes. Enjoy!

This new skill is so much fun !! And this deck is way too OP for a nearfed deck !!
No back to back losses ... great matchup against the fusion meta !!
Fate is great against anyone and you can use it up to 4 times but mostly you just need 3 !!
This deck stragglers against trap heavy decks but u can win with a smart approach.
U can add any 2 cards u think may help u against a specific deck it will not disturb the consistency of this deck thanks to this beautiful skill !!
Good luck for all the duelists out there !!

Note:
Steelswarm feat Neos engine is awesome. I use trunade and 3 cells to end the game quickly. Turn 2 is preferred for OTK. However be wary that sometimes this deck brick hard.
If you got Neos Fusion early, try to send scout to graveyard. With 3 stag and 2 moth, you will have a big chance pulling it on next turn (if not on first draw). Scout is also useful for stalling opponent otk attack, while waiting for stag and moth to sweep the field.
You need empty backrow to special summon scout each turn, that's why there is only one trap (trecherous).
For neos engine, there is only one hero neos on deck.
Use Neos Fusion first, then use Miracle Contact to send neos back to deck. After that you can use Neos Fusion again.
I use no skill when rank climbing, since i want to farm Destiny Draw skill. I reccomend using beatdown as this deck's skill.

A comment from Europeanmind:
Deck has good matchup overall with "easy" wins against six samurai, weevil decks and koaki.
Against Neos decks Cipher soldier and Celtic Guard are essential, steelswarm scout + girastag is great for removal and also for DD draw into girastag when needed.
Miracle fusion into Grandmerge (2x Neos in grave) for 4200 ATK swings over everything else present and lets you OTK into E.Here the Shining.
