Pros

  • Can be special summoned from your hand.
  • Good level to use as Synchro material.

Cons

  • Stats are halved if special summoned by his own effect.

Tips

Synchro

Special summon Vice Dragon and use him with level-2 and level-3 Tuners to make level-7 and level-8 Synchro monsters respectively which are some of the widest Synchro pools.

Advance Force

Special summon Vice Dragon and use him as tribute fodder while Advance Force is face-up on your field. So you can use Vice Dragon as the only tribute when summoning a level-7 or higher monster.

Reverse Trap

Use Reverse Trap to turn his own debuff into a large stat boost for one turn.

This card is now pointless with Cyber Dragon being obtainable.

Not entirely, synchros that need dragons as material still could use this card over Cyber Dragon
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Synchros that specifically needs Dragon as non-Tuner are very uncommon though.

Can use this card with world legacy clash to also regain all lost stats and cripple an enemy into the bargain
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, but there are better monsters to use that strategy with.

Barbaros, for example.

Wtf is the difference between this and Earth Armor Ninja? This has lower Attack, so why use this over Earth Armor Ninja?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
you forgot this card can be combined with strong wind dragon

It turns a wingbeat of giant dragon into a harpies feather duster, use the effect to summon, use WGD to destroy their spells and traps and then just special summon it again

Reactor needs 2 monsters to tribute summon and Maximus cannot be normal summoned. Vice Dragon has superior defense to all other lv5 2000 attack monsters I know.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Who the heck tributed 2 monsters to summon Reactor?

Also, Maximus has 3000 ATK and can easily appear on the field.....

There's your Cyber Dragon kids! No more of this "Cyber Dragon confirmed" nonsense.

Toxic wise
Wow finally cyber dragon ty konami (konami bastard)

Both Vice Dragon and Cyber Dragon can be special summoned if your opponent controls a monster. The difference is you must control NO monster to special summon Vice Dragon
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Note that Cyber Dragon can still be special summoned even if you already control a monster, as long as your opponent also controls a monster

Cyber Dragon lover Reply
lol no you fool
its text says:
If your opponent controls a monster ""and you control no monsters"", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You can't special summon cyber dragon if you already have a monster hahahah theses guys. cards of more than 10 years ago with simple effects and people still don't understanding them.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
TBH most people want Cyber Dragon to play the damned archetype, if people wanted the ability then you have that earth Ninja monster.

I could care less about -500 ATK if I want to tribute or make synchro plays.
Anonymous
Lol why is this an UR. I'll be pissed if I get this when buying cards. But I guess it would be nice for a dragon based deck that needs a ez special summon.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It can be easily used as a synchro material for synchro monsters.

In this case, red dragon archfiend.

If Earth Armor Ninja wasn't Super, I'd have no problem with Vice Dragon's rarity personally. It's a fairly useful card as Synchro or Tribute Summon fodder, and we haven't had a lot of costless ones up until now.

Incoming Zane's fangirls complain for not getting Cyber Dragon

most zane fangirls in this site are "boys" though.

You can build a meme deck using this card along with A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, Strong Wind Dragon, or Tiger Dragon

Vice Dragon = Cyber Dragon
The difference is in one word only

Yang Reply
No, this is a major advantage reduction to offset you. Sure, it might have the same levels, but if you were to special summon this card, its ATK = 1000 and DEF = 1200 compared to Cyber Dragon's ATK = 2100 and DEF = 1600. However, if you really need a defense in a pinch, you could do with this as we don't have Cyber Dragon yet. However, in the OCG, it seems more advantageous to go with Cyber Dragon

Outside of mirror force and it's other counterparts, this card is also one of the best traps...
They should release this card but make it so that you can only activate it once per week per acco...
Noah is in the game. But you have to unlock Atticus (GX) first before you can unlock him.
