This deck plays differently than most of the other decks. It uses a slower approach to winning duels by using Mask of the Accursed to lock and burn your opponent's monsters. Cobra Jar and Warm Worm can also speed up the process.
While there are 3 masks in the deck, there are plenty of options to get the mask from either the deck or graveyard.
Use Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu early in the duel to get a mask, even if you have 1 in your hand. If it gets destroyed, Fairy of the Spring can return it without reducing the number of cards in your hand, but it can only be activated next turn. Normal summon Vylon Ohm when you have either Mirror Wall or Windstorm of Etaqua.
Always keep 1 mask in hand in case your opponent ever tributes
These two monsters have very high base defense. While Big Shield Gardna does have his weakness. Cocoon of Evolution on the other hand, is simply made to just be defensive. When your opponent's are left with no other choice since their monster is locked, they know they can't attack Gardna if they summon another monster. When/if they ever summon a monster, it will most likely attack a set monster, only to be surprised that their attack is not high enough to destroy Cocoon and taking damage as well.
Gravity Axe - Grarl will be mostly used to equip to Vylon Ohm for some extra damage, in case you need to get rid of enemies. Mirror Wall is for defensive purposes to lower damage received if you have no monsters on the field, but it can also be used to deal more damage when they attack Gardna.
