Cannot be Special Summoned. You can pay half your LP; destroy as many cards on the field as possible (other than this card), and if you do, banish them. This card gains 300 ATK for each card destroyed this way. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Normal or Flip Summoned this turn: Send it to the Graveyard.

Pros

Clears the entire field, possibly turning the duel around when going against difficult enemy.

Cons

Low attack when not a lot of cards on the field.
Leaves you open after your attack.

Tips, related cards, skills

Paying the Life Points will enable draw skills like “Draw Sense” or “Destiny Draw” for your next turn.
Recommended to use when your opponent’s LP is low enough to be killed from the attack.
Cost Down to reduce the amount of sacrifice needed for tribute which can be good to increase attack if you have more than 1 monsters.
Gandora can be tribute set on the field and changed to face up defense position using Desert Sunlight which will not be considered as normal, flip or special summoned so it will not be destroyed in the end phase of that turn.

You can chain Rising Energy to Gandora's effect to make it easier to OTKO

Gandora the Dragon of Destruction is the best card for emergercy

You can also use Dust Knight plus Amarylease and THEN a Cost Down to summon Gandora without any tributes. Even for one tribute it's alredy way easier to summon this thing. Also, if you used first combo you can finish enemy with double summon with two direct attacks (that's even better if you have a high attack lvl 5 or six monster like summoned skull). Or maybe you can use Lord of D. with double summon to prevent your enemy from using Spherebola.

Why not just use time wizard instead since it has 750 attack already and you dot have to pay half your life points

Gandora doesn't destroy monster, it removes all cards from play, so that prevents a lot of effects and traps from triggering, and time wizard has a 50% chance to back fire.

Not to mention gandora will have more attack than time wizard if it destroys 3 cards?

Wtf. Went up against this thing in duel links: not only did ishizu set it with NO TRIBUTES, but she cleared the field turn after turn without it being destroyed by its own effect (she had no spells/traps to enable this btw).

Dunno about the "no tribute" part, but if gandora was set and later flipped face-up and survived that, his effect won't send him to the graveyard. Being flipped face-up doesn't count as being summoned, thus his effect won't be triggered.

Because it was flipped during your opponent's turn, it won't be sent to the graveyard.

"Flipped face up" flipping face up isnta summon, but its a flipped face up... It dies when you flip it.

hi guys i make OTK gandora deck today. Usually u need 3 double costons to make gandora deck, but i use caligo claw crow instead of double coston. I use gravekeepers monster to support this deck.

Gandora is actually a huge life saver, when I was against someone who was using wonder balloons and magic reflector(2 counters on wonder balloon), and he activated destiny board. At this point he was at 7 counters at wonder balloons, but I managed to summon Gandora using shallow grave->Double Coston. Didn't expect to win as I THOUGHT I couldn't destroy wonder balloons, but I found out that you can trigger Gandora's ability more than once! Won that duel cuz of Ganbro

Gandora is the best to finish the Low LP mission on Stage 55.
