[Switcheroo] Return 1 card in your hand to your Deck and draw another. The skill can only be used once per turn and twice per Duel. | Keith |
Pot of Dichotomy is a very handy utility card that allows you to draw 2 cards when its conditions are met. By returning 3 monsters, each of them belonging to a different monster type e.g. β Fiend, Insects and Warrior, from your graveyard to your deck, you will be able to draw 2 cards. The only drawback is being unable to conduct your Battle Phase which is a minor issue as long as you have board advantage.
In this deck, we use Pot of Dichotomy to get more consistent draws and more cards means able to consistently destroy a spell/trap card with Desert Twister every turn. This deck severely punishes decks that are dependent on their back row. Not to mention that you can destroy your own spell/trap cards with it so it synergises with Relinquished very well.
You cannot activate Pot of Dichotomy if your graveyard does not have any cards in the first place. To do so, simply set your Magical Merchant in hopes that your opponent does not disable its FLIP effects. Since there is only 4 spell/trap cards, you will be milling your deck pretty fast most of the time so be aware of when you are safe to draw and when you are not. Thanks to Pot of Dichotomy, you will be able to return 3 of the specific monsters back into the deck. On top of that, you get to draw 2 cards. In overall, you should not mill your deck too quickly.
Desert Twister has a very specific requirement to be met when special summoning it β banishing 1 EARTH and 2 WIND attribute monsters from your graveyard. If you do not have them, you can set a Magical Merchant on the field in hopes that your opponent does not disable its FLIP effects. If its effects are activated, you will be milling most of your deck. You will be able to choose special summon Desert Twister easily.
Card | Explanation |
---|---|
Sky Scourge Enrise | This card can be used instead of Desert Twister. However, it requires very specific monsters of the mentioned types and attributes which makes it inconvenient to summon. On the bright side, it has a very rewarding effect which can change the flow of the game. |
The Atmosphere | This card can be used instead of Desert Twister. Its summoning requirements are much more lenient as compared to Desert Twister. By stalling with Cocoon of Evolution, you should be able to special summon this card when you normal summon another monster with at least 1 monster in your graveyard. Of course, modification of this deck is necessary if it is added. |
Hane-Hane | It can replace Yomi Ship or a copy of 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom. This returns any monster your opponent controls when flipped face-up from face-down position and as long as the effect resolves. |
The Fiend Megacyber | This card can greatly help dire situations that you may be in. It is also a great comeback card. Since Desert Twister and The Fiend Megacyber can be special summoned, the 3rd monster card slot can be a normal summoned monster to fill up your monster zone instantly. This can catch many duelists by surprise. |
Rai-Mei | If you have problems getting Magical Merchant, you can use this card to search for it. |
