RatingB+

Pros

  • Strong ATK stats.
  • Can destroy 2 cards your opponent controls, upon Tribute Summoning using a “Lightsworn” monster.

Cons

  • Weak DEF stats.
  • You have to send 4 cards from the top of your Deck when you activate this monster’s effect.

Tips

  • You can consider using a 30 card deck in order to not deck-out too early, if you are playing a Lightsworn themed deck, because most of the archetype monsters have effects that requires you to send the cards from your Top Deck to the Graveyard every turn.
  • You can also consider using cards like Jar of Avarice or Pot of Benevolence to return cards from your Graveyard to your Deck.

Archetype Monsters

You can Tribute Summon Celestia using any of the listed Lightsworn Monsters, in order to trigger Celestia’s effect.

Augmentation

A Field Spell that gains Counter for every “Lightsworn” monster sent from the deck to the graveyard, and increases 100 ATK of your “Lightsworn” monster for every counter on.

I got two of this card early on. Should I be happy? I don’t see much Lightsworn going on. It’s like nobody gives a damn about it, which is sad considering the fact that this archetype has been top-tier in OCG/TCG.

The issue with LS in speed duel format is that with 20 cards you'll deck out way faster, and running 30 cards is only beneficial if you are running a Grass deck, while LS doesn't use Grass.

Maybe if we get JD.....

"dead to econ"

good thing econ is semi-limit now and most meta decks can't use it

Pair this with Arrivalrivals or Escalation of the Monarchs to ruin your opponent’s battle phase

Even better, you can also target spell/trap and it is not mandatory to have 2 targets.

4 for 2 is pretty hefty. especially considering you'll burn through cards before it's on the field.

so with addition of this card and Wulf will lightsworn become a Meta now?
