Good attack and defense.
Able to destroy your opponent's monster from monster's effect.

Cons

Can't be tribute summoned. If you don't get Release Restraint, this is a dead card in your hand.
Release restraint is usable only when you have Gearfried the Iron Knight, and it needs to be on the field instead of usable from the hand.

Gearfried the Iron Knight

A required card to summon the sword master. It has good attack for a level 4 monster, which is part of what makes sword master viable since the required monster is usable in most decks.

Release Restraint

A needed card to special summon sword master. If you have Iron Knight and this spell card, you can special summon sword master in 1 turn instantly.
