With DDD, there are numerous useful skills; I used “Avenger & Doom Dragon” because I was leveling Kalin. This deck fares poorly against Shira and Blackwing, but they are less prevalent in the new meta than the previous several months, making DDD strong again.
Games rarely last more than 6 turns, as you usually win or lose by then.
Call of the Archfiend | Continuous Trap |

You can target 1 Level 5 or higher Fiend monster in your GY; discard 1 Fiend monster, and if you do, Special Summon the targeted monster. You can only use this effect of "Call of the Archfiend" once per turn. |
Call of the Archfiend helps if you got cleared fast (you can re-summon from GY during opponents attack), or, if you have High King Alex out, use both cards’ effects to get out 3 powerful monsters fast!

Berfomet can be called to hand using Dark Contract with the Gate; good if you failed to draw a monster in the starting hand. Use its effect with either tuner to synchro summon High King Alex.

I avoid Flame King because of it’s low attack, because Alex has the same power & more, and because your opponent can use a fire monster in your GY against you calling Invoked Purgatrio.
