RatingB+/10

Pros

  • High attack.
  • Can retrieve monster from the grave.

Cons

  • First effect is not very useful on it's own.
  • Can only retrieve monsters after you tribute for something.

Tips

Possessed Dark Soul

Use the effect of Vennu and reveal Possessed Dark Soul in your hand to turn a monster your opponent controls into level 3, then summon Possessed Dark Soul and tribute him to take all level 3 or lower monsters your opponent controls. After that you can use Vennu to retrieve Possessed Dark Soul.

Skull Lair

Use Vennu to lower the level of your opponent's monster so that you can use Skull Lair with less cost.

badru
Activate its effect by revealing possesed dark soul in your hand. Target an opponent's monster to make it level 3. Then normal summon possesed dark soul, use its effect to take control that monster. Now Vennu's effect can be activated too.

I don't really see the use of this card currently but with calculator in game and primal crys effect I can see some benefit if they add synchro and xyz to the game this card becomes boss

What's so great about this card?

Once I see an effect that changes the level of the monster, I could see it being useful in Synchro Summon.

LOL, well in a year or so that might happen, but I actually hope they get the most out of original series and GX before then, or make separate formats at least.

Wtf?! I would have never noticed until trying it out if it weren't because of you :( definitely a πŸ”₯ing bummer
Turbo
Just some ideas:

-Level Control being used to support Calculator

-Two(+) of this or Shinato being used so that once Vennu is summoned, you can Ritual summon Shinato or second Vennu with one Tribute, likely either Senju or Sonic Bird levelled up that much by Vennu's effect

-Ritual Fairy Smile Ishizu? It sounds better than other Fairy Smile stuff.

Do Ritual Weapon being able to equip using its effect?
<< Anonymous
ZeroEye25 Reply
No because, if I remember correctly, ritual weapon needs a six star or lower monster while this is an 8 star, cost down might work with this though to get it to 6 stars
<< Anonymous(ZeroEye25)
Anonymous Reply
Well it can use its effect to itself right? So why don't target it for 6 star or lower?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You can equip it but once your turn is done, the equip spell is destroyed because it becomes 8 star again. I tested it myself.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yep, had the same thing happen
I suck
Come someone please explain why this would be good ? Or what's so great about making a monsters lower or higher? Only thing I can think of is to run a 3 star deck with possessed dark soul and steal your opponents monsters but idk if that would be good
<< Anonymous(I suck )
Anonymous Reply
This card is good because the ritual spell can revive the monster
<< Anonymous(I suck )
Turbo Reply
I think you're missing how, if you have a Ritual monster in your hand, you can use Vunnu's effect to make a monster on your field the exactly level it needs to ritual summon. So you can summon Senju or Sonic Bird, and if you have the Ritual Spell and Ritual Monster, which if you're running something like Sprites Blessing if you're using more than one Light Ritual monster, you have a great set up.

Asked the same thing in the game chat. Apparently, when paired with Possessed Dark Soul, you basically get infinite econ. Somehow. IDK.

Just wanna point out how some people are calling this card πŸ”₯, but when someone makes a deck using the card they were calling crap, majority of them praise it like it's their πŸ”₯. I mean seriously, do u guys ever consider the combos and potential it has before yelling out " oh OTC beat this thing omg so πŸ”₯, worse card ever. SRHL counters this card so hard omg so lame". Do us a favour and acc think about the possibilities and acc TESTING the god damn card before πŸ”₯ting on it?

if you dont saw it, this is the spell: "Return 1 face-up Fusion Monster you control to the Extra Deck. Both players select up to 2 of their monsters that are removed from play, and Special Summon them" so in the worst case you can return XYZ to the extra deck and summon 2 of the monsters you use to summon it back to the field
<< Anonymous(Not this raging Guy)

Dimension Explosion can only be activated if your opponent also has 2 Removed from play monsters, which isn't going to happen very often :(

And more, rare metalmorph can negate spell cards once per turn and is a BK drop, so free to all. Machines and unions have tons of support now. XYZ is not the most incredible card ever created, but the deck to make it viable is there, you just need to try to build it

You might be right, but you might be wrong, Since its says "UP TO" it means that can be 1 or 0. I didnt use the card yet, so I cant confirm, but there is a chance that you oponent dosent need to have removed monsters

What the I only just noticed now that this card's type is fairy how the πŸ”₯ is this card a fairy it's name literally says bird so it should be winged beast type

Well just my opinion
