Evaluation

Rating7.0/10

Pros

  • Can destroy a face-up monster and more if they have others in their hand.
  • All monsters with the same name, or descriptions that say their names are treated as the same, will be sent to graveyard as well.

Cons

  • Requires a discard of a spell card from your hand.

Tips

  • It benefits the most if you know your opponent has another monster with the same name in their hand. This is more common in harpie decks or spirit decks.
  • Sword of Deep-Seated can be used if you already have the advantage and don't need other cards.

Dragonaut
This card is perfect for a cubic deck because you practically want your spell cards to be sent to the GY.

Karma cut, raigeki break, ultimate providence, lighting vortex etc etc etc are all meta cards that have a generic card discard cost.
Eliminating the league is pure trash since if you dont have a spell to discard is a big red fat brick.

One of the worst non-vanilla UR in the game.

It's more not that likely that you have normal monster/can summon it while your target is on the field except you play often some specific deck to feel this way. Spell on your hand? You often have many spell, more with that HHG anywhere except you play HHG yourself

You can chain this card to hhg to destroy yhe harpie or anything on board, not really a lost here.

Hi Reply
This card works well with me and better than most others as it doesn't target and is not a spell.

Well, seems decent against spellbooks or vampires.

skillbook love this

OK my game must have just glitched. I specifically added this card to my deck because I thought it didn't target and yet it wouldn't activate against a player who straight up played Hazy Sphinx and no spell or traps in that turn or any turn prior. No other monster effects either. You telling me that it targets thought it is unwritten?
Anonymous
Too bad it only check hand and not Deck as well.

This card is more suitable for competitive setting. Yes, Tribute to the Doomed, SRH, OTC, or any other monster removal might have an easier activation requirement than this card, but the effect of destroying cards in the hand is so good, again in a competitive setting. It ruins some REBD variants, handless, kaibaman BEUD, etc. Usage of Normal monsters are limited in high-ranking play except for vanilla harpies, so OTC can only come second after this. To some extent, this card synergizes well with Nobleman of Extermination. Don't use on Gold or below, it will only give bad draws if your deck is not structured to have spare spell cards that are free to toss around (like excess Econs, Double Summons, or Soul Exchange(s)).

It doesn't ruin REBD. At all. REBD can revive from graveyard a million times

this card is duel link's response to rageki break, but it only destroys monsters

Too bad Tribute to the Doomed is going to be a better response

r.i.p this card now that tribute to the doom is being added god that card will create hell soo many combos , dark necrofear, kidmodo dragons , red eyes gg

This card sucks because you don't want to throw away your spell cards. Order to Charge is better because you can use the monster to attack, destroy a monster, then OTC and destroy a second one. Meanwhile with this, you need to keep the spell unused in hand.

It's going to situationally win you games, but doesn't deserve the UR status at all.

I think it's actually more useful than otc now, considering the meta nowadays. Especially good now for three star demotion decks when you don't wanna use an extra double summon anymore and destroy their cards rather than destroying one of your 7 star monsters on the field.
I think now it's actually pretty useful now for that reason.

As anon says you often dont need destroy your monster. If your monster cant atk though your enemy anyway, OTC makes no difference and bad that you must summon to use it, also countered with ECon and charge your own 2 monsters. About situationally OTC is 'very very more'. You must play melee vanilla low star monster to feel good with OTCing

Ok so i'm kinda in a pickle here, i've already open 77 pack and got 6 UR (Gale lizard, Brain research lab, Symbol of Duty, Fusion Sage, Magic Drain, and Seven Tools of the bandit) and about 10 SR with only just 1 Double Summon, is it worth for me to just reset the box or is it worth to continue til i get Eliminating the League?

Get it! It's an awesome card to get rid of Sonic Ducks and other multiple used monsters in PVP.
