Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys | Decks and Tips

During your next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When you do: Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

• This card can revive during your Standby Phase when it got destroyed.
• It destroys all of your opponent's Spell and Traps on the field when it revives.

• Attack is low compared to other monsters that requires 2 tributes.
• Defense is low which makes it an easy target when switched to defense position.
• It can only revive when it's destroyed by a card effect.
• It destroys all of your Spell and Traps on the field when it revives.

The most common way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Hand of Nephthys. By using this card combination, you can immediately summon it and you can destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.

• Summon Magical Exemplar first, you need to do this since you would like it to gain a Spell Counter once you used Tribute to The Doomed.
• Use Tribute to The Doomed then discard Hand of Nephthys to your Graveyard to destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.
• Now that Magical Exemplar has 2 Spell Counters on it, you can use its effect to Special Summon Hand of Nephthys from your Graveyard since Hand of Nephthys is only a Level 2 monster.
• You can now use Hand of Nephthys' effect, tribute Magical Exemplar along with it to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your Hand or Deck.

Another way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Fire King Avatar Yaksha or Fire King Island's effect. Both of them has the capability to destroy Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your hand. By doing this, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys will be special summoned on your next Standby Phase and it will destroy all Spell and Traps on the field. You can use cards such as Murmur of the Forest, Gravelstorm or Magic Reflector to prevent Fire King Island's destruction due to Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys' effect, so monsters in your field will not get destroyed. You can also use the second effect of Fire King Island, which can be used to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your hand if you don't have a monster in the field.
