Tips

Utilizing Tribute to the Doomed

Tribute to the Doomed is one of those universal cards that can be used in any decks. You can even take advantage of its cost that makes you discard a card and there are some combinations that works well with it. Here are some examples:

Hand of Nephthys

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

Magical Exemplar

The most common way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Hand of Nephthys. By using this card combination, you can immediately summon it and you can destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.

Summon Magical Exemplar first, you need to do this since you would like it to gain a Spell Counter once you used Tribute to The Doomed.
Use Tribute to The Doomed then discard Hand of Nephthys to your Graveyard to destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.
Now that Magical Exemplar has 2 Spell Counters on it, you can use its effect to Special Summon Hand of Nephthys from your Graveyard since Hand of Nephthys is only a Level 2 monster.
You can now use Hand of Nephthys' effect, tribute Magical Exemplar along with it to Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your Hand or Deck.

Kidmodo Dragon

Blue-Eyes White Dragon

One of the best way to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon is by setting Kidmodo Dragon on the field and letting your opponent attack on it. Now, even at your turn, by using Tribute to The Doomed, you can just discard Kidmodo Dragon from your hand to destroy a monster in the field and you can Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from your hand due to Kidmodo Dragon's effect.

It's awesome when the opponent uses this then plays 1 monster cuz he's out of cards then I econ his card and win. Cards a decent replacement for otc for non normal decks but u gotta use it early when you have enough cards to feed the discard.

OtC only works in tribute a normal monster, this card you can spare one monster and discard a card, so you dont need a deck with normal beater monsters to harpie deck, depending in how the nerf in the skill will effect the game, one harpie deck now can be more dangerous than ever, also this can work with relinquished, very OP card, discard a random card to destroy any monster

Oh god no. OH GOD NO!!!!!! This was the bane of my existence with the Bakura event at the start of June (the first one. That trap is equally as bad). I'm both happy and horrified that players can obtain this card now.

OP card

So many decks that use the graveyard effect just become insanely good with this card.

For example, this card + kidmodo would allow you to easily remove one opponent monster and summon a big dragon at the same time.

This card is definitely much much better than OTC due to the synergy with graveyard effect monster.

Prepare to get spammed with this card non-stopped when you are at Gold~Platinum Rank.

but if you use e-con, a monster to tribute, a ritual spell and a ritual monster you will be using 4 cards at least, so who's dumping his entire hand here smarty pants?

Rituals are free cards if u use enough senju and sonic bird

I dont understand who use his entire hand. The Doomed person just throw his kidmodo or even more synergy card. And also destroy YOUR card. Then you use cards to steal and ritual and so on. Opp can have defense trap to prevent you to do that. Otherwise, he can just set kidmodo and you must use 2 cards to defense and steal. All the way, you spend more cards even subtract your free cards.

Don't forget that handless decks actually want an empty hand, so this card is perfect for them.
