Tips

Utilizing Tribute to the Doomed

Tribute to the Doomed is one of those universal cards that can be used in any decks. You can even take advantage of its cost that makes you discard a card and there are some combinations that works well with it. Here are some examples:

The most common way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Hand of Nephthys. By using this card combination, you can immediately summon it and you can destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.

One of the best way to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon is by setting Kidmodo Dragon on the field and letting your opponent attack on it. Now, even at your turn, by using Tribute to The Doomed, you can just discard Kidmodo Dragon from your hand to destroy a monster in the field and you can Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from your hand due to Kidmodo Dragon's effect.

Why does this card work on freed the general ? Not sure isn't he suppose to negate magic cards that target him ?
<< Anonymous(Lmx)
Anonymous Reply
Because TttD doesn't target him. It only destroys.

Best monster removal in the game right now.

Is this card actually good or just good when u first read it. It's very costly. If u really think about it it's costing you 3 cards to play 1 monster and remove one. Otc is better because you're sacrificing a monster that's gonna die anyway.

Your still dumping 3 cards to get 1 guy out with little room for protection cards. Why not just 3sd barrel dragon and u only use 1 card and u have your monster removal right there.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
why 3? only 2 cards. and there are cards which u wanna sent to the graveyard. so it can be really good
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
I hope u can make a good deck out of it

Helpful to Gemini deck, since I want the boss monster (darkstorm dragon and phoenix Gearfried) in the graveyard. Featherizer is ideal to do this job, but more often than not, those bosses are on your hand, so this comes into clutch.

Why is this a ur

michizure costs 1 card?? why?? you need michizure and a destroyed monster, but with this you only need tribute to the doomed and any card in your hand so it is arguably better than michizure and much more versatile... and CV is situational

Because this is an universal monster removal, can be used with anything in any deck, very versatile.

Discard kimodo dragon to summon blue eyes or a powerful Dragon monster
<< Anonymous

Mishizure costs 2 cards as 1 Monster needs to be destroyed, OTC 2 cards as well and vigilance isnt as versatile

yeah you're right

Riryoku field will easily countered it

At this point, R. Field will rarely be a complete dud. How often do you seriously play a game where someone doesn't use at least one of Econ, OTC, Tribute to the Doomed, Super Rush Headlong, Soul Exchange, Mask of the Accursed, etc.?

I modded my deck to include 2 riryoku field and now I'm at plat 3 lol. Must work or something. When u riryoku this card u totally 🔥 the other guy.

Anonymous Reply
Except this card is almost completely useless against HHG since just summoning a Harpee can destroy riryoku field.

Anonymous Reply
There's never much reason to try to destroy a card that isn't chainable to summons and other common actions, because in that case, it's not OtC, Econ, etc. If it's not chainable it is likely something like Wild Tornado, Security Orb, and others that aren't necessary to destroy. Good HHG players pay attention to your opponent's activation prompts. HHG isn't that good anymore, and is getting nerfed.

Wow I really hope no one uses this on my toon dark magic girl...oh wait hahhahaha

I really hope they'll throw Heavy Night of the Flames against your toons ;)

No, your DMG is automatically lost when you lose field spell, one of the strong decks is TK, also one very weak
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
But with minedriller, you can get it back if you can recover him. It's not a bad card for toon deck to try out.

Tttd save me from freaking master of oz lol thx for this card

i got 2 headlong's in like 25 packs so i dont see why it would be impossible to get a 3rd copy of a specific sr/ur in 30 packs
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Not impossible, but way easier getting any other card in the pack. No?
