WCS Finals: Final Tournament

Results

Final Match

First Duel:

During the first duel of the final Match both players were using Toon decks and used the skill Restart.
Timmy got Toon Kingdom and Toon Dark Magician Girl out on the field during his first turn. While Tutpup, on the other hand, was only able to draw cards to defend himself.
The rest of the duel was basically Timmy attacking with his monsters until Tutpup ran out of defense cards, which forced Tutpup to surrender the duel.

Second Duel:

During the second duel Timmy used a Ninja Deck with Beatdown! while Tutpup used the same Toon deck with Restart.
With Tutpup Drawing a bad hand after using restart, the winner of the duel was almost certain. And what solidified the win even more was when Timmy summoned Red Dragon Ninja and sent Rising Energy back to the top of Tutpup's deck preventing him from drawing any useful cards.
The duel ended on turn 5 with Timmy's Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke attacking directly. And with his defeat certain Tutpup boosted the attack of Timmy's monster to over 5000, just for fun and out of good sportsmanship.

If inread all this, if i take a view over the duel links division, i must say, konami 🔥ed up the real game. There is a ban list of cards (for certain reason), whick are banned for being overpowered in combination with other cards, exactly to avoid 🔥 like 3SD etc.. but, now in fact, short before WCS start, those 🔥s bring paradox brothers with 3SD skill out, which is making ppl, who don't have 3dm, 3cv and other cards simply useless and hopeless formtze finals. Also ppl are using cheats and abusing bugs during the qualification.. i mean, this Championship isn't serious as it should be, it looks more like a random party for the nolifer community. In common are same 3 decks: 3SD, HHG and insect burn/GK.. now let us count, how many other heroes are there and how many other cards are available, but useless because of those 3 immortal combo-decks. As example, lets take Bakura.. Bakura is the perfect heroe based on perfect tactictical gameplay and strategie, but is useless against every of them i'v called above. I tryed hard to get up to KOG by using any other deck, beside 3sd, hhg or burn/gk deck, but it is impossible. Up to kog i got as HHG and kept plying as hhg or 3sd and i must say, after 4 days of playing like this, i got bored of it and i am going to leave this "wannabe"-yugioh game, since the mobile version is just a japan joke.

Yeah.. I made a TSD Dark Magician deck. I couldnt get KoD. I've spend the whole weekend going from platinum 2 and 3...
Most of the time I faced those 3 kinds of deck (plus clown control), and I must say that in the end its just counting on luck, not skill. Before the fight starts you can never garantee if you're going to win on lose, it's all luck. I'm probably quitting too

I went on a dueling spree from Platinum 1 to King of Games!

I don't even remember the decks I faced.
They was all my meal's!

The thing, its your choice to play the wc cup. If things don't work out well, its after all your decision. Isn't it just a event?

All decks that depend on the *character skill* to win should be banned and only useable in catuals duels.

The field spell skills should not be placed on the mat when beginning the duel. It should be shuffled into the deck insted.

These are the majors things i need Konami to consider doing with also making a banned list.

@Anoymous 4 = Maybe people don't play Rex a lot is because they have maxed his character?

I use to play Dino's all the time!
In fact, I used that deck in my climb to King of Games for the World Championship.

Than I had to stop using Rex because I maxed his character at 35.

I didn't want to keep using him since I didn't get any more experience.

I switched to a low level duelist instead.

Half way through my King of Games climb I maxed my Rex this event!

I manage to get to platinum 1 with him.
Than I ended up maxing him at level 35.

I had to rotate to another duelist to gain experience for another character.

I could of kept using him, but I felt like their was not point since I can't get any more experience points using him.

I currently have the following characters maxed at level 35.

-Yami Yugi = Dark Magician
-Mai Valentine = Harpies
-Rex Raptor = Dinosaurs
-Weevil Underwood = Insect Queen

I have used all of those decks to crush people.

I like building Character decks.
I am use Mako as my new Character.
I made a Legendary Fisherman deck.
I think it is pretty good!

So the final qualifier is all about playing a lot and the ones with more free time to play are going to be in the top places... really lame format. There should be a cap of games per day or something, i'm sure a lot of skilled players are not going to be in the top places because of not having enough time to play.

Agreed. I've been playing this since i was 15 i'm 30 now. I dont have time to farm skills I have bills and responsibilities. I actually buy packs to keep up with these f2p guys. I guarantee if they did this right with no skills allowed in the qualifiers it would be way more fair. People rely on skills to win it steals strategy and delivers victory. Destiny draw? Draw sense? You never get screwed

Yup, i think konami should limit the duel per day, like just 20 duels per day, and calculate the result by who's winning the most.
Because in this event, i saw almost all of the top ranking players are just the people who spend their times at least between 8-18 hours per day in this game. It's not fair for a lot of players who have a skill but don't have enough of time to duel in the WCS Finals.

You need 5 wins in a row to go from Plat 3 to KoG.

lmao you don't even need to hack the game, just get a bunch of people who play the game 24h non-stop (people in different time zones who share the same account). I think they were just too lazy to evaluate a limited number of duels. Maybe a ranked KOG over the season would be best (like in Hearthstone)

I know right. Someone ranked lower could have a better win rate than someone higher just based on the fact that the number of duels aren't equal.

Yeah, this game's ranking system is really screwed up. This whole "win X duels in a row"-system means that someone whose wins and losses are bunched together will rank up while someone whose wins and losses aren't bunched together won't, even if that second person's W/L-ratio is higher...
