Pros

  • Can Special Summon any Vampire monster from your Graveyard, if this monster was Normal or Special Summoned, except Vampire Scarlet Scourge. This effect can be used once per turn.
  • Takes control of opponent’s monster which it destroyed in battle.
  • Good ATK and DEF stats.

Cons

  • Special Summon of monster which it destroyed by battle only happens at the end of the Battle Phase, slows down your attack rate.
  • Requires a steep cost of 1000 LP to Special Summon “Vampire” monsters from your Graveyard.

Tips

  • Vampire Genesis cannot be Special Summoned by other ways therefore it is excluded from the list of Vampire monsters to be used alongside with Vampire Scarlet Scourge.
  • Due to the steep cost of LP to conduct most of the Special Summons, Vampire Deck relies on sending monsters from the Deck to the Graveyard as setup for Special Summons, as well as efficient Search power to quickly end the duel.

Vampire Archetype

These are the recommended Vampire monsters to be used alongside Vampire Scarlet Scourge. Vampire Scarlet Scourge can Special Summon any of them from your Graveyard by paying 1000 Life Points. Together with Vampire Grimson, they both have effects that take control of your opponent’s monster(s) which they destroyed in battle, making this duo a dangerous swarming synergy. Vampire Familiar functions to search for any Vampire monster from your Deck, while Vampire Retainer functions to search for any Vampire Spell/Trap from your Deck.

Vampire's Support

Vampire Kingdom grants all your Vampire monsters 500 ATK boost during Damage Calculation only. It also grants additional effect for you to destroy any card on the Field if your opponent sends 1 card from their Deck to the Graveyard.

This effect benefits Vampire Lord and Vampire Lady because they are capable of forcing your opponent to send a designated card type (Monster/Spell/Trap) of your choice, from their Deck to the Graveyard, when these monsters deal battle damage to your opponent.

Vampire's Desire is a versatile Spell card that allows you to either send 1 Vampire monster from your Deck to the Graveyard (and make your targeted face-up monster’s level equal to that Vampire monster), or you can send 1 face-up monster you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 “Vampire” monster from your Graveyard.

Vampire Takeover is a powerful Trap card that can place 1 Vampire Kingdom Field Spell to your Field directly from your Deck. You must control no Field Spell and minimum 1 Zombie-type monster to use this effect, and all your monsters must be Zombie-type. Additionally, you can Special Summon 1 Vampire monster from your Graveyard to the Field in defense position.

Vampire's Domain is a Continuous Spell card that allows you to pay 500 LP for additional Normal Summon of 1 Vampire monster, on top of your Normal Summon/Set. Additionally, it allows you to leech the amount of battle damage dealt to your opponents by your Vampire monsters, to recover your LP equivalent to the amount of battle damage.

Zombie Support

Since all Vampire monsters are Zombie-type, they gain benefits from these cards. Call of the Mummy allows you to directly Special Summon 1 Zombie-type monster from your Hand, provided you control no monsters. Il Blud is capable of Special Summoning any Zombie-monster from your Graveyard, but if Il Blud leaves the Field, these Special Summoned monsters will be destroyed as well.

Scarlet Scourge is from the same pack as Fur Hire.

Which is also the same pack as Sky Striker.

That should tell you how good this archetype will be.

Sky strikers is a archetype focused on links, without links meh.

Sky striker is not coming to DL anytime soon, unless they bypass synchro, xyz & pendulum

Assuming if this is on Link summon era.
Sky Striker probably not doing good. Less starting hand, less extra deck, no MP2.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You won't be doing much with Sky Strikers, considering Links and the Extra Monster Zone don't exist. Not having MP2 isn't even a real issue tbh, you just can't Link again for card management.

Look. Is a Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon with upgrade.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Nah, it's not an upgrade. It just have different version of effect.
Scarlet special summon the monster at the end of BP (slower but steady) while RE Zombie summon immediately if it's a zombie (faster but limited)
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
On the other hand, RE Zombie is meant to work with Zombie World anyway

It's REZ without Zombie support, but the monsters don't have to be Zombie-type

Does anybody have any deck-building tips? I'm trying to make a deck full of Vampires and Zombies, and so far it pairs really well with Mokuba's Monstermorph: Evolution skill, but the deck is still a little tricky to handle. Any pointers?

Just like any other Zombies, Vampires require GY setup. Having Zombie Skull and Gozuki are essential for the dumping. Issue is, they really struggle going first. In this case, having Kingdom and cards that mill your opponent's deck could protect you and clear their boards. Kingdom also helps you with dumping Retainer and Familiar. Grace and Vamp are better than Scourge.

I couldn’t figure out how to use Grace properly, no matter how much I tried. I have better luck with Scourge, Vamp, and even Vampire Lord and Genesis. I have the others, though!

It will take roughly 15000 gems for vamps, so stick to fur hire

I had 1k gems to spend on to build a vampire deck. I got Gozuki in one pack (crimson kingdom)! Ha! I bet no one got that in one pack! Then I spent some in scarlet scourge I have nearly build my vampire deck. I need to get samurai skull in generation next. Best of luck for me. PS I have fur hires except Beat, bladesman fur hire, he’s hard to get.
