How to Play

Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning

Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
LIGHT Warrior ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Selection Box Vol.05 [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects.

● Target 1 monster on the field; banish that target face-up. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.
● If this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, after damage calculation: It can make a second attack in a row.

Easily special summonable in this deck since there are LIGHT (Watt Monsters) and DARK (Sphere Kuriboh) monsters. Its effect is pretty decent for either monster removal or as an OTK option.

Wattcobra

Wattcobra
Wattcobra
LIGHT Thunder ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 500
Arena of Sanctuary [R]
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent by a direct attack: Add 1 "Watt" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Searcher for adding 1 "Watt" monster from your Deck when this card inflicts Direct Battle Damage to your opponent.

Wattdragonfly

Wattdragonfly
Wattdragonfly
LIGHT Thunder ★2
ATK 900 / DEF 100
Valhalla Calling [R]
Arena of Sanctuary [R]
If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect), you can Special Summon 1 "Watt" monster from your Deck.

Dragonfly can brings out "Watt" monster including itself when it is destroyed by your opponent's battle or card effect. Since this effect is not limited to once per turn, you can use Dragonfly's effect to stall and prevent a number of attacks from going through.

Wattgiraffe

Wattgiraffe
Wattgiraffe
LIGHT Thunder ★4
ATK 1200 / DEF
Arena of Sanctuary [R]
This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent by a direct attack, your opponent cannot activate Spells, Traps, Spell/Trap effects or Monster Cards effect until the End Phase of this turn.

Giraffe's effect let you attacks directly and stop any disruption the opponent could throw your way after giving Direct Battle Damage. You can potentially OTK your opponent with other Wattgiraffe you control that has ATK Boost Up by "Photon Booster" after this effect resolve.

Attack Blocker

Sphere Kuriboh
Sphere Kuriboh
DARK Fiend ★1
ATK 300 / DEF 200
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon.

Aside from its function as the defense/anti-OTK tech of this Deck, Sphere Kuriboh can also be used for summoning BLS - Envoy of the beginning by banishing itself and 1 Watt Monster.

Photon Booster

Photon Booster
Photon Booster
Normal Spell
Superb Tea (Event) [R]
KC GT Champion Prediction Campaign [R]
Kite Tenjo Roaming Event [R]
Target 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster on the field, except a Token; the ATK of all monsters currently on the field with its name become 2000, until the end of this turn.

Photon Booster turns all your Watt Monster with the same Name into 2000 attack beaters. For Example, if you control 3 Watt Cobra / Watt Dragonfly or 2 Watt Giraffe, all these monsters will boost up as 2000 Attack Beaters until the end of the turn that this card activated.

Extra Decks

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
DARK Dragon ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK.

General Rank 4 Xyz Monster for players to use so far. Its effect essentially lets you deal 2500 (its own ATK) damage if this attacks the monster you targeted. The advantage is that your opponent's monster's ATK is also lowered, allowing you to attack over it with your other weaker monsters.

Abyss Dweller
Abyss Dweller
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
Photons of Galaxy [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.

Abyss Dweller is an anti-Graveyard interaction tech, intended to hinder Decks that activate a ton of effects from the graveyard. It's best to activate this at the start of the opponent's turn, so make sure to toggle Chain to "ON" and activate Abyss Dweller's effect during the opponent's Draw Phase.

The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin
The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin
DARK Warrior ★2
ATK 1600 / DEF 0
Yuto at Lvl 21 and 30 [UR]
2 Level 2 monsters
You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; until the end of this turn, change its ATK to 0, also negate its effects. This is a Quick Effect if this card has a "The Phantom Knights" card as material. You can only use this effect of "The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin" once per turn.

As long as your opponent's monster can be targeted, this can help you get over them. Turning their ATK to 0 can potentially lead to an OTK.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Useful when your opponent only has 1 monster on the field. Temporarily banishing them will let you attack directly to secure some games.

It's also good against Xyz monsters since banishing them will also remove their materials.

Steelswarm Roach
Steelswarm Roach
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 0
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.

Roach is great for monster suppresion, much like a Trap Hole card. When your opponent summons a boss monster, use Roach's effect to immediately destroy it. This is an especially good counter against Synchro Decks. But most of the time, just Roach's presence on the field is enough to deter the opponent from making big monsters.

Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
LIGHT Psychic ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
Voltage of the Metal [R]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per Chain, during either player's turn, if 2 or more monsters with the same name are on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose 1 monster among those with the same name, and destroy all other monsters with that name. While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon monsters with the same name as any of the monster(s) chosen for this card's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 2 "Heraldic Beast" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Potentially a game-winning card when you go against decks that uses same name monsters like Harpies.

Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition
Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition
EARTH Zombie ★2
ATK 2200 / DEF 0
Shark Fang [R]
2 or more Level 2 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 other face-up card on the field; while this monster is face-up on the field, that target has its effects negated. While that target is on the field, cards with the same name as that target, and their effects, cannot be activated.

The negation effect is handy for turning off enemy boss monster effects and key Spell/Trap cards.

You forgot the most important part: Pray that your opponent doesn't have any backrow or hand traps.

Yo, I've been using a Watt deck for a while. Glad to see a recipe up, but let me make some suggestions how you can improve this more.

Include Wattdragonfly! It's a great stall AND searcher. Its effect actives when it gets destroyed by card effect OR battle so I find it gets triggered 90% of the time. Replace the Thunder Seahorse with them to bring the cost down while making this deck better! They're even in the same box as the rest of the Watt monsters used here

Oh, and btw your strategy seems too involve way too much stall. Watt deck OTK is the best strategy imo because otherwise your opponent will eventually find a way to overpower your weakass monsters.

I find that often deck builds for a deck that intends to compete with the big bad metas always tend to have extreme measures like 3x Floodgate 3x Necrovalley 3x Wod.

It's sad that it's needed. I used "Watt" monsters in PVP before. It's definitely not KOG worthy but it's interesting to use. The "Watt" boss monsters aren't present in this build at all, so I have to question if it's worth it to sacrifice the deck's essence to compete or of it it's better to just assume our inferiority and not compete

Not compete. Like someone said, it is mainly for a direct attack but the opponent can still clear your field with Drowning Mirror Force.

Maybe Trunade can help.

It could but you are only limited to 1. I would use either night beam, cosmic cyclone and the other cosmic card instead. I forgot the name
