Can negate the effect of your opponent's monsters, disrupting their plan.
Destroys the monster that this card targets.
Requires a discard of 1 card to activate.
Against normal monsters like dino decks, this card can be a dead card.
It's recommended to not put more than 1 copy in a deck, since it relies on your opponent's monster activation, also since it requires you to discard a card from your hand and getting draws can be difficult. You can use it early in the duel to get an advantage by destroying the monster or save it until they start summoning monsters like Gravekeeper's Oracle or Levia-Dragon - Daedalus to destroy them and ensuring victory.
It can easily be destroyed with wild tornado, twister, despell, lost blue breaker, deap sea dweller, that one tribute summon spirit, HHG, wicked flambourg (or other cards to negate monster effects destroyed in battle like that one high level fiend), and other ways to get rid of it when it is in the spell andtrap card zone, but I never understoodwhy divine wrath doesn't work on her.
Whoops. I was replying to someone who stated this doesn't work on pumprincess. But yeah. Her ability isn't a continuous ability like Big Shield Gardna or Leotaur or Cerberus, This ability must be manually activated like shpere kuribo, so why doesn't divine wrath work on her in the monster zone?
Underrated AF. Can counter Kuribo, Daedalus, Man eater bug, Clowns, Relinquished, Barrel Dragon, Gravekeepers.
This should easily be rated 8.5 if not 9
I started running this card to counter a friend's Daedalus. Turns out I now run it on all my decks.
Daedalus isn't good, Clowns aren't common, Man Eater Bug isn't released to players, and Barrel Dragon is gonna take a huge hit in usage once 3SD gets nerfed in a few days. It's not a terrible card or anything but the discard effect makes it less viable and almost every deck would rather run something else instead.
There's no way this is rated 9 because Ultimate Providence thoroughly outclasses it. In this game, if there's something you can guarantee having in hand always is monsters thanks to the lack of special summon tools, while also allowing you to negate spell and traps if you're smart enough and can read your opponent plays. This card is just bad at its job.
That is only the case if your deck is balanced between magic, monster, and trap cards and have a balanced hand, which is very hard to get in duel links if balance isn't your skill. Otherwise, ultimate providence is too situational to be better than divine wrath.
How do I counter this card???? Trap Jammer would not activate!
Fackin ignoramus, Divine Wrath IS a trap card, not a monster effect, what probably happened is his ooponent used Divine Wrath outside of the battle phase and since Trap Jammer only happens inside the battle phase, he couldnt activate it.Forget learning to read, you should go to prison.
Lol nope. OTC requires a monster, EtL requires you have it set, and both would be destroyed when Gandora comes on the field. Divine Wrath or Champions Vigilance are the only cards I know that can stop him.
