Can negate the effect of your opponent's monsters, disrupting their plan.
Destroys the monster that this card targets.

Cons

Requires a discard of 1 card to activate.
Against normal monsters like dino decks, this card can be a dead card.

Tips

It's recommended to not put more than 1 copy in a deck, since it relies on your opponent's monster activation, also since it requires you to discard a card from your hand and getting draws can be difficult. You can use it early in the duel to get an advantage by destroying the monster or save it until they start summoning monsters like Gravekeeper's Oracle or Levia-Dragon - Daedalus to destroy them and ensuring victory.

Now you know Duel Links is actually Duel Monsters. More monsters and just 4 spells in a 20 card deck means that DW is a hard counter to any powerful monster.

Effect negation is the best form of negation since most decks/strategies are based on monsters. Not to mention the easiest way of winning is through monster attacks, unless you run a weird burn/deck out/exodia etc deck. Just look how popular have become in the past cards like photon bouncer, witchcrafter verre, fiendish chain, buster blader, forbidden chalice, ultimate providence, gorgonic etc etc

Why is this card played a lot more than ultimate providence? Yes you have to discard exactly the same type of card in ultimate providence to negate something but at least you can negate spells and traps too. It's really an eyesore seing this played in BE deck than providence. I mean your discard fodder is a monster anyway so why not run providence to negate spell if you have excess COC or Ancient rules.

Them playing this card makes BE less 🔥ous and more counterable, it's actually a good thing.

I've faced a lot of players who didn't open with their UR traps when I'm using many free/cheap cards lol, ends up winning the duel against them

Some players really dedicated to counter monster effect, after all.
They won't leave a single mistake, including only had trap / spell card for the cost.
And playing this card doesn't mean they dont slot providence either.

"RECALL" would be a fantastic alternative for "Divine Wrath"!!! It negate and destroy a monster effect with no cost, but your opponent will draw a card!!!

To be honest the Egyptian Gods should be completely immune to spells, traps, and monster effects. There are so many other monsters in the game with far greater effects on top of negating or immunity. The Egyptian gods in duel links are useless. I don't use them, but I was curious one day and decided to play one. My opponent activated a trap card, selected my Obelisk and sent it to the graveyard.

Because this trap doesn't target as the Pros wrongly says, you can destroy monsters hard to remove from the field like Dark Cavalry.
