Pros

  • Returns any card your opponent controls back to their hand.
  • Retrieves cards from the graveyard.

Cons

  • Requires some graveyard setup to use effect.
  • Weak stats

Tips

Lava Golem

Summon Lava Golem to your opponent’s field to take out 2 of their monsters. Then use Lavalval Dragon to return Lava Golem back to your hand so you can reuse him as removal later.

Mill Own Deck

Use these cards to mill your own deck so that you can fuel Lavalval Dragon’s effect.

Summoning

In a Laval Deck where you mill your deck a lot, you can use Special summon Laval Coatl from your hand to use alongside a level-3 FIRE monster when summoning Laval Dragon. You can also use Junk Warrior but make sure the non-Tuner monster you use with him is a FIRE attribute.

Underrated card, it can return reactor dragon, maximus or that koa'ki wall that could negate your spells.

Lake Girl: that's a nice Blue Eyes board you got there. Shame if something bad happened to it

Why Guildos is R and thus card is UR

1. It is not once per turn
2. It is non-destroying
3. It is can target all your opponent card

Laval deck can fill the graveyard far easier than Gusto

Lavalval can use its effect multiple time / turn. Returning to the hand may be better than destruction. 1 card is far better than 1 face up monster.
