Once per turn, during either player's turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy another face-up "Six Samurai" monster you control instead.

  • Self Protection effect requires you to destroy another Six Samurai monster.
  • Semi-specific Synchro materials.

Tips

  • Having both Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En and Great Shogun Shien on the field at the same time does not mean you lock your opponent out of activating Spell/Trap cards. Spell/Trap cards negated by Shi En do not count towards the one activation Great Shogun Shien allows.

Summoning

Normal Summon Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki and use his effect to Special Summon Kagemusha of the Six Samurai or Secret Six Samurai - Genba and use them to make Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En.

You can Normal Summon Secret Six Samurai - Fuma and then Special Summon Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan and use both monsters to Synchro Summon Shi En.

Revival

Cunning of the Six Samurai

You can only revive Shi En if he was Synchro Summoned properly first. Use Cunning of the Six Samurai to send a Six Samurai monster on your field and revive Shi En.

You can revive Shi En with Return of the Six Samurai. And instead of destroying Shi En during the End Phase, you can use his protection effect to destroy another Six Samurai monster you control instead.

That wouldn't work it negates it yes but it also destroys it which would activate fire king islands effect

Negating its activation won't trigger the effect that happens when it leaves the field (it's not considered to have been ON the field if its activation was negated, regardless of where it was activated from). Not that it really matters anyway. (Do they even benefit from destroying their field other than slightly easier Yaksha pops?)

They are not. Where is kagemusha? Elder + kagemusha. Kageki+kagemusha.. Instant shien is not as viable with kizan.

kagemusha, enba & shien's squire is N in this box based on leaks in duel links meta.

There's also a level 4 N card named "legendary secret of the six samurai". The card seems really good to me, but strange it is only N rarity.
