Can be used in two ways: defending your monster from being destroyed by battle and decreasing the ATK of a monster your opponent controls by half.

Amazoness Swordswoman

Amazoness Swords Woman

Massivemorph

Use Massivemorph on your opponent’s monster to increase their Attack, and use Swordswoman to attack into it, while protecting your Swordswoman with Half Shut during your Battle Phase and deal Life Point damage to your opponent.

Amazoness Onslaught

You can make your Amazoness monster immune to battle destruction for one battle phase while it is attacking or being attacked while Amazoness Onslaught is active on your field. The gets rid of the monster you battled while keeping your Amazoness monster alive. But keep in mind you will receive more damage because your monster's attack will be cut in half.

Rulings

This spell card can be activated at Damage step.
When a monster that this spell card targets becomes face-down, the monster can be destroyed by battle.

How does this card work on facedown monsters (being flipped face up from an attack) but super rush headlong can't be activated? I guess its in the mechanics but I don't know lol

Easy answer. For SRH : "destroy that opponent's monster AT THE START OF THE DAMAGE STEP". The monster is not face up yet.

Only cards that affect the ATK/DEF can be activared in the damage step (e.g only Kunai with Chains second ATK boost effect can be activated in the damage step).
Half shut affects the ATK by halving it so its a damage step card.
Flip monsters get flipped as soon as the damage step start

So get this:

I activated "Wall of Disruption" on Dakini. Next turn, I activated "Half Shut" to get my GB effect. But after the turn was over, Dakini´s ATK went back to the original, disregarding the effect of "Wall of Disrutpion". Shouldn´t "Half Shut" restore the half of ATK at the end of turn instead of full restore?

I seem to have found a bug with this card and the Malus Token from The Golden Apples. The token was at 2300/2300 and was targeted by Half Shut during my battle step. The ATK was directly halved, but was reset to 0 at the end of the turn rather than back to 2300.

The same thing happens with Cerberus and Piercing Moray. Seems like any monster that has the ability to permanently gain atk gets reset to its original atk after being targeted by this card.

not a bug, this card return target to their original attack after their effect worn off, so for most token, it's 0.

Why is this card not countered by "fairy's hand mirror"?? It target exactly one monster but i couldn't activate the trap card.....is this a bug or what??

It's so annoying how this card acts as a quick play spell card only half the time. Sometimes I'm able to activate it from my hand, and at other times I'm not prompted to activate it from my hand. Is this a bug? It has lost me several duels. So irritating

It always has to be your turn to be able to activate from hand. Otherwise if you want to activate it during opponent's turn, you have to set it beforehand

you would have to have it placed on the field prior to not from hand activation.

Actually you should be able to activate it from your hand during your damage step, just like enemy controller

Great against Golden Apples and Adhesion Trap Hole, since the target returns to the original attack in the End Phase.
