The original card game did the exact same thing, somewhat mirroring the show. The longer the game continued, the more accessible stronger monsters became. Gemini Elf herself is a perfect example of this. After Gemini Elf. Similarly, after Goblin Attack Force, we got Giant Orc, who had 100 less atk, but basically did the exact same thing, and at common rarity.
And pretty soon, on a newer deck, we will see Luster Dragon, with his increadible 1900atk and 1600def.
Im sure the next pack will bring at least one of those: luster dragon, vorse raider and gemini elf
The strongest vanilla atm is 1850 with no defense and is weakened by a field spell, there's no way they're going to bring monsters with respectable defense + boosted by field spells with 1900 attack. It took 3 months to go from Dunames -> Impachi lol, no way it's taking 2 months to go from Impachi -> Luster Dragon and Gemini Elf
has this card been in the game before? i faced a guy on pvp with this card. then i see here on "how to get" that it's under construction. has this card been in the game before or had this guy manipulated the game? Duel ID: 173-692-481
I guess Konami was thinking:
"Lets just release a Rare 1800 beater so the player base buys some packs"
"But whats with Dunamis?"
"Who the fuck cares? They already bought Valkyrie's Rage, lets make some more money by powercreeping"
The aforementioned things are true + this synergises with pyro / element decks and beast ones as well
Better than dunames and inpachi, cause angus atk isn't decreased by any field spell (yami for dunames, umi for inpachi). Also, this is a beast card, and thanks to the last minibox he gains some good supports
