Tradegy from my experience works with Earthquake/Sphere Kuriboh/Econ on the second turn.

So if I set tradegy I won't be able to activate it until my next turn

subterrors go to face down defense so this one doesnt affect them

You are wrong it works. When a subterror monster in attack position activates its effect and go to face down defense position, you can destroy all DEFENSE position monsters

Why tf does this 🔥 set defense cards when it clearly says it destroys "face-up Attack Position monster(s)...changed to face-up Defense Position"??

Because that's just the condition, while the effect is "Destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls."

I actually found this card to be quite useful! When cornered, windstorm of etiquia plus tragedy can clear all your oppononents monsters. Security orb also works as a more controlled version of that combo, if just one monster needs flipping.

For those who complain that this doesn't work. It won't work if you have chain.

for example :
You activate enemy controller / Curse of Anubis / Windstorm
Enemy Monster switch to def
Activate Tragedy

As long as there is nothing chained to Econ, you can activate tragedy.

"cannot be activated during damage step" maybe it has something to do with that. just a guess though.

electro activate its effect in main phase not damage step
sometimes it dont triger for me too i almost lost my final duel to KOG because this 🔥

Changing to DEF mode has to be the last thing to happen. Tragedy can only activate vs a DEF-mode swap after all, not against a S/T-lock effect such as in this case
