Pros

  • Cannot be targeted for attacks by level 6 or higher monsters. This is a permanent effect.
  • Picks 1 “HERO” monster from your Graveyard to your hand. This effect can only be used once per Duel.
  • Negates an Effect damage that would be dealt to you, by returning this card from your Graveyard to your hand. This effect can only be used once per Duel.

Cons

  • Weak DEF stats.

Tips

  • This card is not limited to supporting only Destiny HERO monsters, as it can also be a good tech card in Elemental HERO decks.
  • Since the current popular meta decks are Cyber Angels and Ninjas, which usually summons level 6 or higher monsters easily, therefore Decider is great against these decks as it cannot be targeted by these high-level monsters for attack.
  • Lava Golem has seen much popularity ever since the release of the second copy, therefore Decider is a good tech card to negate its powerful Effect damage dealt to you.
  • The effect of picking 1 “HERO” card from your Graveyard can also be activated when Decider was Special Summoned during either players’ Damage Step, End Phase.

Recycle

Decider’s effect can be used to pick up any of these recommended cards, as these cards have a higher tendency to appear in your Graveyard, and their effects or usage are recyclable.

Destiny HERO support

Destiny HERO – Decider bears the highest ATK amongst level 4 or below Destiny HERO monsters currently, therefore using D-Chain not only further augment its attack, but also inflicts 500 effect damage to your opponent every time Decider destroys an opponent’s monster via battle. Dark City further provides Decider with more ATK power when attacking monsters that are higher ATK than him.

this guy is really useful, he's got a lot of effects and it's pretty much a freebie

Fun fact:
This card single-handledy destroys Hazy flame decks that have no means of destroying Decider via card effect or negating his ability, and I love it. I hate going against Hazy flame decks since they are immune to card effects, but an opponent actually surrendered to me once because he had no way to deal with my Destiny Hero Decider. He also helps bring back Anki for people who only have 2 copies of them.

By card effects, I mean cards like Tribute to the Doomed and Enemy Controller don’t work on them.

Hazy can use that special summon lvl 4 ur card that you can get from ranked.

They often run with 3.

Yeah, I'm sure that Aster is laughing like a maniac somewhere. The masked cards and even adding Witchraider. Now I just need to actually get the cards out of the box. lol I can't wait!

Or maybe you want to run a Lava Golem deck, you may want 3 copies of this card. Since it cannot be attacked by level 6+ monsters

I'm fine with D•HERO Dogma, since he has a somewhat hard summoning condition. On the other hand, D•End Dragoon is quite a no-no.
