Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 other monster; this card gains 1000 ATK until the End Phase. If this card attacks, change it to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. One time only, when you draw a Monster Card during your Draw Phase while this card is in your Graveyard: You can reveal it; Special Summon it. This card must be in the Graveyard to activate and to resolve this effect.
Decent attack for a 1 tribute monster, but can go up to 3100 attack if you have any other monster to be tributed.
Can special summon any special summonable monster when you draw them, making him viable in decks other than destiny HEROes.
Switched to defense after it attacks, and its defense is very low.
Effect to special summon a monster requires Dasher to already be in the graveyard, and can only be used once per duel. This means that bringing multiple copies can be less effective and become a potential dead card.
Second effect only works on monster cards that you draw during draw phase.
You can easily discard a card from your hand through many ways, but the ones that can often be used in many different decks are cards like Tribute to The Doomed, or Ultimate Providence. Monster Reincarnation can be good if you want to re-use a monster, Cost Down if you use a lot of high level monsters, or Rigorous Reaver to force your opponent to discard as well.
To get some control over what to summon, use cards that can put certain, or specific cards from your deck, to the top of your deck. Deep Diver is good for searching from your deck so you can special summon high level strong monsters on your next turn. Feather of the Phoenix is a good option if you want to special summon a monster from your graveyard, especially if your Dasher is not yet in your graveyard so you can use it as the discarded card.
