After Vrains World Release
Extra Monster Zone is where you place monsters that are Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, such as Fusion Monsters. Although there are two spaces, each player can only use one of them at a time during Duels. When there are no monsters in the Extra Monster Zone , It is not considered as being part of either player's field. During a Duel, the first player to Special Summon a monster to the first Extra Monster Zone selects either the left ot right posiition, and then Special Summons their monster.
Notes: If a player controls a Special Summoned monster in an Extra Monster Zone, that zone is treated as the player's field.
With the addition of Extra Monster Zones, Card Position setting has been added to the Duel Setting Screen. With this, you will be able to choose from the following three options:
Magical Hats | Normal Trap |
The Ultimate Rising [SR] | |
During your opponent's Battle Phase: Choose 2 Spell/Trap Cards from your Deck and 1 monster in your Main Monster Zones. Special Summon them as Normal Monsters (ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-down Defense Position, Set the chosen monster if it is face-up, and shuffle them on the field. The 2 cards chosen from your Deck are destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase, and cannot remain on the field except during this Battle Phase. |
