this card can be turned face down defense position and in the same turn be turned attack position? or you can only make one of those per turn?

You can activate the effect and Flip Summon on the same turn. However, you can't Normal Summon and Flip Summon it on the same turn. So you can't just summon it, use the effect and then flip it back up all in one turn.

This card was face down on my field. Opponent attacked using baby dragon(1200 atk). Card flips, opponent looses 500 lp, then this card's effect activates making def to 2000, but no extra deduction from opponent's lp. Then his turn ends and def goes back to 1700. Also baby dragon was not destroyed. Generally when higher def card is attacked by lower atk card, that card is destroyed. Am I missing something or this is a bug in app?

Basic rule:

attack position monster vs attack position monster = lower ATK's monster destroyed

attack position monster vs defend position monster = lower ATK's monster didn't got destroyed but take damage. But if the DEF stat of the defend position monster lower than the attacker's ATK, the defend position monster got destroyed and not damage applied except some monster with piercing effect.

Thanks for clearing that! One more thing though, damage calculation should be done using 2000 as def, not 1700 right?

as the text say "resolves after damage calculation" so the damage calculation for first battle it will use original DEF.

When this card is face down and attacked, its effect activates after damage calculation using original def. Is this a bug?
