This one is getting popular thanks to buster blader DNA.

Good fusion substitute

Difference between this and king of the swamp ?

This is purely a Fusion Substitute, whereas King of the Swamp has another, also very useful, effect? And this has 500 more ATK and is a level higher, but that's not really relevant. Also, Beastking's green, and King's closer to blue. Major difference right there.

Beastking of the swamp is EITHER ONLY an unnamed monster - such as red eyes slash that says “Red eyes black dragon & a warrior type monster” (so Beastking would be the warrior type monster) OR an unnamed or named monster, not sure yet. Will test soon and reply.

King of the swamp can only be substituted for a NAMED monster and has the added effect of discarding it to pull a poly from your deck

Looks like Beastking can be subbed for a named monster as well - despite being rare and not ultra rare, it is more practical in my opinion when using it in combination with blazeman (I run red eyes slash)

Jk they both do the same thing I guess. They aren’t the best with how they word card effects

This bad. This sard cant be substitute for a fusion summon. Not like a mystical sheep #1.

They're pretty much the same card. If you have this card, another substitute, and a Polymerization on your hand, then of course you can't perform a Fusion Summon.

What the hell his eff was to draw a fusion card and be a sub you konami

Wrong card, that is the effect of King of the Swamp, which is a different card than Beastking of the Swamp

this extremely devalues hex from the card trader

hex can act as a polymerization and as the substitute at once, though.

It's more of a supplementary card. both together actually make fusions viable.

1/10 yeah right. This is probably the best reward from this event other than the new char.

Thanks
Another fusion substitute
