Fun deck!
Re: Meta
Shut down various decks, including other Blue-Eyes Cosmos, Darklord, Neos, Ancient Gears, Fortune Ladies, Dark Magician, Gravekeepers, Red-Eyes, Triamid, and Cardian; lost occasionally. Had trouble with Desperado and Six Sam if bad hand (only faced twice each).
Re: Counter Traps
The key is timing/choice of what to negate or when to summon Parshath for defense. Synergy if discard Stone of Ancients/Legend (therefore sometimes better in hand than on field). Note the difference between Rebirth's "return to deck" vs. usual "destroy card." Also note: Rebirth can only summon Parshath if the negated card is returned to the deck (i.e., not if card already banished). You can even negate your own card to summon Parshath if extra/piercing damage wins that turn.
Keeper of the Shrine was a missing piece in this deck for defense and to get BEWD back.
Good combo was to destroy a monster with Alt Dragon, then synchro summon Vermillion Mech and destroy another card. But think before turning BEWD into Alt Dragon because Alt Dragon doesn't work with Keeper or Champion's Vigilance, for example.

Blue Eyes Chao Max. I came back to the Game for this card.
Blue-Eyes Cosmo with a Big Blue Boi. Stall and some revival. Deck thin to draw your chaos form for the Scorns skill.

A comment from Chris:
The deck is quite simple to use, I usually start with a faced down “Stone of Legend” / “Dawn Knight" or I use “Sniper Hunter” as engine to get useful cards into the graveyard (like high level dragon cards that I can summon via Silver Cry).
Then to protect myself I have many magic cards and trap cards and I usually like to synchro summon the mech dragon so that I can destroy some other cards as well…

Anarchy24 | Destiny Draw | Oct 14 |
A comment from Anarchy24:
This is my fined-tuned Buster Blader King of Games deck, and overall my favorite deck in general, as it is a lot of fun to play. I tried different combinations of cards upon ranking up, but this mix is what got through the Legend ranks to KOG very quickly. It's all about high piercing attack and effect shutdown.
As with most Buster Blader Destruction decks, the goal is to bring out "Buster Blader, The Dragon Destroyer Swordsman" usually along with "DNA Surgery" set to Dragon-type to shut down the activation of your opponents monster effects, which normally cripples their deck, especially when using their monsters against them to make your fusion. If there are bad draws for the set up due to a lack of low-level monsters, the trap cards can set your opponent back a few turns, and "Counter Gate" actually adds some helpful draw power at the same time.
If that fails, Destiny Draw helps as a last resort to get the one card you're missing, and from there it's often a one-shot for victory. "The Dark - Hex Sealed Fusion" works as a backup with Buster Blader as a Dragon or a Warrior to bring out a fusion monster with that respective material if a normal fusion summons isn't possible. "Chaos Sorcerer" plays off Hex extremely well after that, and has saved me in many duels by clearing a pesky monster.
Additionally, many opponents use Blue-Eyes or Red-Eyes cards in the meta currently (and often), or at least Dragon-type Synchros, which make this deck even easier to crush your opponent with. Nothing is more satisfying than that!

Ger | Destiny Draw | Oct 14 |
A comment from Ger:
The technique I used is rather simple, the main combo of this deck is having DNA already placed together with the sword quick spell and buster blade in hand. So when the opponent summons I activate DNA and then chain the quick spell in order to use the opponent monster as a sacrifice.
However, the main trouble I encountered is that this deck still somewhat weak against quick counter traps such as trap hole. In order to protect your dragon slayer, I recommend summoning red eyes fusion dragon as soon as possible, so its effectively provides somewhat cover for the dragon slayer to act.

I ran 3x Idaten/Benten with an Updated semi-limited Petit angel. 3x Senju for consistency, along with Merciful for dead hands/missing cards(use with Benten for sync). Cosmic Cyclone was the closest I could come to for a quick play spell removal. I love this deck!

Got to KOG for the first time with this deck, Cyber Angels are back with a vengeance with the changing of Petit Angel to limit-1.
This is the fastest moving Cyber Angel deck I've built. It can chug out Dakini or Izana on your first turn pretty much every time. Merciful Machine Angel combined with Benten gives insane draw power. And Benten's deck search effect even lets you grab Senju or Petit angel, for even more field swarming.
Floodgate Trap Hole and Canadia are both good for blocking attacks and monster effects, and lets you get some sweet piercing damage with Dakini.
Overall a ton of fun.

MVP: White stone of the ancients and Dragon of White Spirit
Pretty much a standard Desperado and Cyberdark deck.
Use of the Extra Deck came in clutch quite often. People were not expecting it.
A pretty easy climb this month.

Vincedubai | Master of Destiny | Oct 16 |
A comment from Vincedubai:
After trying many alternative versions of the deck, I felt this one functions with the most consistency using the skill ‘Master of Destiny’. This skill used early on in the game tends to be very important especially when using DBD because not only does he wipe out your opponents entire strike force with 3 heads, he also gets you an extra card draw once you get 3 heads in a row and along with cup of ace (pot of greed) the constancy of getting the right cards in your hand early on is madness.
A few key points: If your DBD gets destroyed he allows you to pick up another coin tossing card from your deck. Choosing the right card here can sometimes be crucial. The cyberdark cards complement this deck incredibly well being able to summon a 2400 ATK dark machine monster than can attack directly on one turn is madness.
As soon as you do attack with them immediately send Leng Ling to the grave (another crucial card and move to use). The dark horse of this deck has for sure got to be Jinzo as he can disable all traps on the field from activating which has caused a few of my opponents to surrender. The only thing I would change with this would be cosmic cyclone for night beam although with cosmic cyclones ability to destroy a face up spell or trap card after it’s in the grave can be very useful. Another move that worked really well is sometimes if your opponents have some spells and traps set, keep your DBD in defence and attack with another monster as I came up against a few too many drowning mirror force cards which can be potentially devastating!. Remember his effect still works in defence!

A comment from DarioVaccaro:
This is my first time getting KoG. I literally used one of your Cyberdark Desperado sample decks, and it worked lol.
In my experience, the best approach to it is defensive, only attacking when pretty adamant the opponent has nothing to counter with. Worst MUs are Gravekeeper (no access to Cyberdark shenanigans) and Subterror.
I really hope this archetype doesn't die in the meta because I've had a lot of fun playing it.

A comment from OneGreed:
Keeper improves the consistency of Neos Fusion, it also helps to dump cards like bacon and leng ling into your graveyard. Most of the time, I would have a keeper and Neos on board, Then follow up with Cyber Dark. But it really depends on the matchup, I lose about 5 times in Legend before getting to KOG.
