Mac | Destiny Draw | Oct 26 |
A comment from Mac:
Goal of deck is to fusion summon quintet magician by getting your magicians or spellcasters to field for easy win. I usually try to get my silent magician on the field to prevent spell cards from activating them I follow up with a berry magician to add cards to my hand for silent magicians effect.
A lot of meta decks revolve around spell cards right now to summon monsters to the field. So my deck revolves around anti spell cards. I was able to get 5 different spells casters on field to summon quintet who’s effect allows it to remove all opens ta cards off the field while the opponent cannot target the magician. It was a Really fun deck to play. Hope you enjoy

A comment from stegio:
Once again destiny-masked hero recipe leads me to the KOG level and is exactly the same deck that i used to the previous season, in which i met heavy resistance from subterrors and desperados especially. In this season things were pretty easy, the only remarkable recipes were gravekeepers and dark magicians(palladium oracle).
Gravekeepers is a very good recipe, in order to face it i relied on my traps, especially wall of disruption because they swarming the field, also the skill is very helpful, it gives me the dark city spell and boosts my destiny heroes, celestial can be pretty useful in order to get rid of necrovalley(if possible) and dangerous can offer an extra boost and the same time helps to mill my deck, so i can dispose of celestial or malicious, in order to unleash Anki or draw two extra card.
Palladium oracle is a major headache cause all my monsters are dark types and he can be special summoned, so dimensional prison and widespread ruin are the pefect weapons against him but if the opponent has more monsters world legacy clash might be a clever solution by banishing oracle's attacking target and aiming an other monster you can stop an attack and thanks to Anki you can always counter attack directly so if you are close to win you get your chance.

Spiffy | Destiny Calling | Oct 20 |
A comment from Spiffy:
This was probably one of the easiest KOG that I've reached. Most people were not really prepared for Masked Heroes. Usually, a big weakness of MH was enemy back row. However, the meta has deviated from that which frees up more of our deck for defensive traps and world legacy clash. Vision Hero Trinity got me a couple of clutch wins and Drowning Mirror Force was useful to turn games around that I would've lost.

A comment from Mainliner:
Neos Fusion works really well on a Masked Hero deck, allowing to send copies of Celestial to the cemetery easily.
Doom Lord shut down Shi En, Desperado, Cocytus ... In addition, its effect does not destroy, so it does not activate any effect. If possible, only invoke it when you have a mask change.
A polymerization is a great option, allowing bricked Neos to get out of your hand to activate the Celestial effect.
After the last banlist, I will replace a copy of Neos fusion with a copy of Celestial, and Vyon with Keeper, to maintain consistency. I will also replace Trinity with Dangerous, to secure copies of Celestial and other D-Heros in the cemetery.

Yami Aster | Destiny Calling | Oct 26 |
A comment from Yami Aster:
Pretty standard deck with cosmic cyclones and world legacy clash to add for back row protection and forbidden chalice for OTKs. Vyon and polymerization are mostly added just to run through the deck faster to get celestial going. I never count on actually using trinity what with the situations I am usually in. And of course, there is destiny draw. I thought about using Master of Fusion for the skill since it has been changed now. But I figured that destiny calling might be more useful near the end of the season with more of the higher than 2600 attack monsters possibly gone.

A comment from TheSia:
Pretty standard Metaphys deck, except reduce Asymm for less brick. Gold Sarco for more consistent, for F2P you can just have 1 and increase Asymm to 3 instead but I also recommend have Gold Sarc at least 2. DP is great because of your opponent most likely to bother to remove your Asymm or MD first so they likely not aware of your trap.
I do not suggest TTH because the current meta has a lot cards that can activate an effect from the graveyard.
This deck can either go first or second but prefer go second more a bit.
if you go first, try set up to have your deadalus or tyrant on hand that you either choose which one to summon after your opponent turn.
if you go second, it's your game. Try to control field, NO NEED to rush attack until make sure you can finish him 100%.
I think hardest match-up are AG Dragon deck (not standard AG) and Desperado which you need a lot of luck.
Sixsam likely not your problem whether Shien on the field or not (you can remove him by daedalus) but beware world legacy.
for blue-eyes, red-eyes, vendred, fortunelady, invoker, darkmagi, gravekeeper just try summon daedalus after them and then almost auto win.
for triamid, try summon tyrant with trap-uneffect and they can do nothing.
for subterror, spellbook, other control or burn deck that slower than you are all easy to win with MD.
for flower cardian save your card and try to survive otk and then you can easily beat them.
for mermail, magnetwarrior, maskhero and mirror match is up to both you and your opponent starting hand win rate is 50-50.
This deck is very strong and can match-up almost all deck in current meta but a lot overlook it.
MOST IMPORTANT, You need to make your move wisely up to your opponent.

A comment from Yami Yugi:
Metaphys is a Tough Deck to use but nevertheless I’ll explain... Necrovalley of course negates any card effects from the graveyard so very useful against Red Eyes Slash and any other deck that uses GY effects, Assymmetaphys and Metaphys Dimension when paired together is the combo to go to for this deck. Assymmetaphys lets you banish one card and draw another and with MD on the field you can banish one card on your opponent’s side. This deck interferes with your opponents very well. This deck goes well with Heavy Starter and LP Boost A

Qentut Quda | Mind Scan | Oct 31 |
A comment from Qentut Quda:
Comment: I barely created this deck in the mid October since I rapidly climbed from bronze to legend used Yubel Nepthys, but this deck got a lot of lose streak in legend so I try using Metaphys.
I can say that Metaphys Deck may be weak or strong depends on first hand luck and how your opponent's decks work. Mostly they are special summoned monsters so Daedalus is a must in your hand. When your ideal field contains Asymmetaphys and MD, rotate Daedalus for Asym effect > banish Nepthys (Daedalus eff) > add Daedalus again (Nepthys eff) for annoying MD's banishment.
I barely got KoG at 231's win since I was handicapped by only having 1 MD (shortage of gems, LoL). 2 Sarco is a must for better hand, Drowning too at least 1 because your monster zone would be empty in most time. I used Mind Scan to see opponent's set card so I can tells the best and safest monster to summon since Metaphys lack of powerhouse.
Anyway, since this deck is control deck type you have to be careful what card you use first or card you should choose during effect resolve (ex: which one should be first between Aloof Lupine or Asym, or Nepthys vs Tyrant for Daedalus banishment). This deck drain my energy alot these past two weeks but it also fun to play.

A comment from Sickmanfudo:
The super poly skill is the best skill in the game, hands down. It auto wins against any dragon based deck as long as you don't get OTK'ed first. Keeper of Dragon Magic gives the deck so much consistency and great openings. And Dark Cavalry may be the best new boss monster to date. However, the decks only defense is bacon saver, but it makes up for it with it's over powering offense and ability to OTK by turn 2.

A comment from Ziggidys:
This is pretty simple. This deck works off of getting red eyes out which is pretty easy, but then magic drain and debunk help negate most competitive decks. Then you can use divine wrath to put a wyvern or another useful card into the graveyard. Debris Dragon is used to get out star eater which I've never lost a duel or even gotten him destroyed when I get him on the field.

Wombo Frollo | Balance | Oct 20 |
A comment from Wombo Frollo:
I've made this super-hybrid deck to have as much versatility as possible. With Balance, this deck has no bricks and you'll Always manage to have something big on the field in tour first turn.
The usual start is a Red-Eyes Slash Dragon, which I've chosen over Brave Neos because of its higher Attack, its negation effect, which is very useful if you haven't set a counter trap, and the ability to summon a Destiny Hero ready for the Mask Change on its destruction. Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning is very useful too, as it allows you to search form a Red-Eyes Fusion or a Spirit, and, when summoned, it's a wiped up field 90% of the times.
Anki Is the main win condition against almost every deck, you just have to use it wisely (don't just attack directly into a Drowning Mirror Force like a fool if you haven't a proper counter trap set), and Celestial's drawing effect is one of the best comeback options in the game, especially in a deck with many combos like this.
Celestial is also a win condition against decks like Stromberg, Gravekeepers and many others, as it can destroy their field/continuous spells.
Rebirth of Parshath is the best counter trap, but don't be too greedy, always set a counter trap when you draw one: stopping your opponent's combos as soon as possible is far more useful than doing it later summoning a Parshath. Also, the Rebirth of Parshath (and the other counter traps) are THE win condition against Yubel and Darklords, so, again, you have to use it wisely.
