    I understand that very well.

    I'm just wondering, other than having opponent banish desertapir through monsters like mystical beast of serket, I dont think there are other ways to activate desertapir's effect.

    There are lots of ways, the real issue is that a lot of those cards are not in Duel Links yet.

    There's a few cards like Soul Release, Interdimensional Matter Transporter (that isn't chained to anything), Dimensionhole, Dimension Gate, and Different Dimension Gate that can. Shame we don't have Gold Sarcophagus yet.

    Just tried Beast Rising with this, it doesn't work. Tapirs timing is missed if banished with Beast Rising.

    It doesn't work with Bazoo either, Bazoo's banishing is considered a cost, meaning you resolve Bazoo's ATK gain afterwards, which means Dark Desertapir will miss the timing since the banishing isn't the last thing to happen.

    it's not going to change anything, it's a case of "miss the timing" because the Beast rising resolution makes miss the dark desertapir effect's timing

    you guys do know that this card is quite situational right? == you can't banish this card just like that it requires 2-3 card combo to get this engine going, it's quite slow for this format zzz

    Actually, 3-4 counting the thing you want to bring back. What you plan to do with that thing is probably what will define if this guy gets any big use.
