to get this to work, does this have to be in attack mode. i had it in defense mode, face down, my opponent had 1 serpent night dragon and one unused spell/trap card face down. when i attacked and this card was sent to the graveyard, nothing happened. only 1 card was in the spell/trap zone and there was no monster effect that made it so that this cards effect would be prevented.

I think it's a bug or it does have to be face-up in order to activate it's effect

The card would be OP at level 4, y'all.

I'm genuinely getting a kick out of it. The computer almost always attacks it but humans rarely do.

A level five that gives me 2+ turns of stalling? Yeah, I'll run one for the lolz.

Even if you wanted to do that, you could run a better card like Amazoness Queen or Lightray Madoor.

Think again. You need to tribute 1 monster, tribute summon (2 normal summons = 2 turns), and it needs to be destroyed by battle.

Glifer can be included in dark world/ archfiend decks with no drawbacks. You just have to know the difference of discard as cost and discard as effect.

Yeah, back when this card first showed up in OCG/TCG, many people stated this card would have been actually usable if it was Level 4 instead.
