How to Play

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Swan Fusion

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Swan
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Swan
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★8
ATK 2600 / DEF 2200
Shining Sunrise [SR]
2 Beast-Warrior monsters
If this card is Special Summoned: You can inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control. During the Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can send 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control to the GY, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. You can only use each effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Swan" once per turn.

Searchable by using Elephant or Rooster's effect. Removal effect works good by sending 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control to the Graveyard, which is most likely on the field like Tenki or Fusion Spell Card. However, this effect will only can be activated during the Battle Phase.

Fire Formation - Ingen
Fire Formation - Ingen
Continuous Spell
Shining Sunrise [N]
When this card is activated: You can Fusion Summon 1 Beast-Warrior Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. If this face-up card is sent from the Spell & Trap Zone to the GY: You can target 1 "Fire Fist" monster in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Fire Formation - Ingen" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Fire Formation - Ingen" per turn.

While its main purpose is to be used for Fusion summoning, if you don't have the Fusion monster, you can simply activate this to either be used as cost for any of the Fire Fist monsters. You can recover it back by using Elephant's effect, which will also the main way to search for Swan.

The monsters you used for fusion summoning doesn't really matter that much since most of them don't have synergy in the grave. However, Buffalo can special summon itself from the grave, and you can recover 1 Fire Fist monster from your grave when you send Ingen to the grave.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Eland Ritual

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Eland
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Eland
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★6
ATK 2400 / DEF 2000
Eternal Stream [SR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Fire Formation - Domei". You can discard 1 monster; Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck or GY. When your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can send 1 face-up "Fire Fist" or "Fire Formation" card you control to the GY, except "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Eland"; negate that effect. You can only use each effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Eland" once per turn.

Searchable by using Elephant or Rooster's effect. After you ritual summon this, search for the counter trap (Ultimate Fire Formation - Sinto) to get a pretty decent form of control.

The counter trap can negate a spell/trap, while Eland can negate a monster effect. Ideally, you want to activate the counter trap first since it requires a face-up Fire Formation spell/trap on your field to activate, which is most likely on the field because of the ritual spell card.

Once the counter trap is used, you can activate Eland's effect to send Domei to negate a monster. This will activate Domei to special summon a monster used for the ritual, or any other Fire Fist you may have.

Fire Formation - Domei
Fire Formation - Domei
Continuous Spell
Eternal Stream [R]
When this card is activated: You can Ritual Summon 1 Beast-Warrior Ritual Monster from your hand, by Tributing monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed its Level. If this face-up card is sent from the Spell & Trap Zone to the GY: You can target 1 "Fire Fist" monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Fire Formation - Domei" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Fire Formation - Domei" per turn.

While its main purpose is to be used for ritual summoning, if you don't have the ritual monster, you can simply activate this to either be used as cost for any of the Fire Fist monsters. You can recover it back by using Elephant's effect, which will also the main way to search for Eland.

The monsters you used for ritual summoning doesn't really matter that much since most of them don't have synergy in the grave. However, Buffalo can special summon itself from the grave, and Elephant's effect will activate if you special summon from the grave in case you end up special summoning it when you send Domei to the grave.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Elephant

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Elephant
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Elephant
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1800
Eternal Stream [UR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control to the GY; Special Summon 1 "Fire Fist" monster from your hand, except "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Elephant". You can target 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap in your GY; shuffle it into the Deck, then, you can add 1 Level 5 or higher "Fire Fist" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Elephant" once per turn.

Search for this with Tenki so you can make a rank 4 if you have Buffalo, or get another search by special summoning Rooster/Ram from hand.

Without a face-up Fire Formation spell/trap, Elephant can recover a Fire Formation card from grave and also search for Eland. You can follow up this play if you have Tensu so that you can normal summon Ram to fetch the ritual spell and ritual summon Eland right away.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Panda

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Panda
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Panda
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★5
ATK 2100 / DEF 400
Shining Sunrise [R]
If you activate a "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 "Fire Fist" monster from your GY, except "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Panda", also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Fire Fist" monsters. If a "Fire Fist" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by your opponent's card effect, you can send 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control to the GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Panda" once per turn.

A Level 5 Combo Extender Fire Fist Monster which can special summon himself from hand and brings back another piece of "Fire Fist" monster excluding himself from your Grave. If you wanna special summon another Extra Deck Monsters, you need to consider about the combo setup since this effect will limit your summon which only "Fire Fist" monsters.

Panda will also grant your "Fire Fist" monsters under protection from card effect destruction by sending 1 clog "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap. You can utilize this effect for triggering those sent "Fire Formation" effect activation for another combo setup.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit, Ram and Rooster

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 500 / DEF 200
Absolute Inferno [UR]
Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a Beast-Warrior-Type monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Level 3 FIRE monster with 200 or less DEF in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in Defense Position, and if you do, monsters you control cannot attack for the rest of this turn, except Beast-Warrior-Type monsters. You can only use this effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit" once per turn.

Before the introduction of Xyz monsters, Spirit was already a good Synchro enabler; even though it was locked to making Beast-Warriors. Now, Spirit has extra utility as a Rank-3 enabler and arguably functions better in this role because the restriction doesn't prevent it from making non-Beast-Warrior Xyzs. However, making Beast-Warrior Xyz is still recommended because the battle restriction still applies.

Basically, you're supposed to summon Spirit then use its effect to revive a Level-3 Fire Fist. Use both monsters to make your Extra Deck play.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Ram
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Ram
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 800 / DEF 200
Eternal Stream [R]
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap you control; Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap with a different name directly from your Deck. If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Fire Fist" monster: You can Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck, with a different name from the cards in your GY. You can only use each effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Ram" once per turn.

Normal summon effect is best used when you have Tensu so you can do a follow-up by summoning another level 3 to make a rank 3, or Spirit so you can synchro into a level 6.

The special summon effect can be activated through Elephant's effect or Horse Prince when you do a synchro.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 1500 / DEF 100
Absolute Inferno [R]
When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Fire Fist" monster: You can add 1 "Fire Fist" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster" once per turn. Once per turn: You can send 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card you control to the Graveyard; Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck.

Rooster is the best revival target for Spirit just because it gives you a free search when summoned this way. Rooster's second effect lets you unclog your backrow and fetch another Fire Formation from the Deck.

Fire Formations

All your Fire Formation cards stay on the field to give slight ATK boosts which can add up if you control a full backrow of them.

Fire Formation - Tenki
Fire Formation - Tenki
Continuous Spell
Eternal Stream [SR]
When this card is activated: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK. You can only activate 1 "Fire Formation - Tenki" per turn.

Tenki basically lets you search a Fire Fist. Keep in mind this effect is only activated once upon activation, meaning you can't re-activate this search with your face-up Tenki.

Fire Formation - Tensu
Fire Formation - Tensu
Continuous Spell
Galactic Origin [R]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [R]
During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 Beast-Warrior-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK.

Tensu's extra Normal Summon helps with field swarming. With a perfect hand you can even go from an empty field to Onimaru in a single turn.

Fire Formation - Gyokkou
Fire Formation - Gyokkou
Continuous Spell
Blades of Spirits [SR]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [SR]
Activate this card by targeting 1 Set Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls. Your opponent cannot activate the targeted card in response to this card's activation. While this card is face-up on the field, that Set card cannot be activated. All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK.

Gyokkou is a control card to lock the enemy backrow. This lets you attack safely without needing to fear enemy battle traps. Use your non-Tuner Fire Fist effects to fetch this when you're going on the offensive.

Fire Formation - Yoko
Fire Formation - Yoko
Continuous Spell
Kings Resonance [R]
Absolute Inferno [R]
When you activate this card, you can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; discard 1 Beast-Warrior-Type monster, and if you do, destroy that card. All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK.

Yoko is used for on-demand targeting removal. This is usually done to get rid of a powerful enemy monster, and the discard costs puts something in your graveyard for Spirit to revive.

Extra Decks

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Horse Prince
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Horse Prince
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★6
ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
Absolute Inferno [SR]
1 FIRE Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 FIRE monster from your Deck. After you Synchro Summon this card, you cannot Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters for the rest of this turn.

Horse Prince essentially lets you summon a Fire Fist directly from the Deck. You can Special Summon Leopard who will immediately tribute himself to fetch a Fire Formation or, if you already have a couple of Fire Formations on board, you can fetch Rooster.

Vulcan the Divine
Vulcan the Divine
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★6
ATK 2000 / DEF 1600
Soul of Resurrection [SR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned: Target 1 face-up card you control and 1 face-up card your opponent controls; return those targets to the hand, but for the rest of this turn, you cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same name as those returned to the hand by this effect. You can only use this effect of "Vulcan the Divine" once per turn.

This deck takes advantage of Vulcan's effect to return your own cards since all of the spells remain on the field. The continuous spells have a once per turn activation restriction so you can't use it right away, but being able to use Tenki again without having to search through the deck while also removing a monster your opponent controls is a strong play to make.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 1800
Eternal Stream [UR]
2 Level 4 Beast-Warrior-Type monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all face-up Effect Monsters currently on the field, except Beast-Warrior-Type, until the end of your opponent's turn. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can send 3 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Cards you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monsters with the same ATK from your Deck, in face-up Defense Position.

Search effect triggers on summon already makes this very good, but it also has a powerful effect of negating all monsters, unless you end up going against another Beast-Warrior deck.

The last effect can be used to unclog your field, or to have a safety net in case your opponent summons multiple monsters and try to OTK you.

The Phantom Knights of Break Sword
The Phantom Knights of Break Sword
DARK Warrior ★3
ATK 2000 / DEF 1000
Phantom of Rebellion [SR]
2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them. If this Xyz Summoned card is destroyed: You can target 2 "The Phantom Knights" monsters with the same Level in your Graveyard; Special Summon them and increase their Levels by 1, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except DARK monsters.

You can use its effect to destroy your Fire Formation Continuous Spell card so you can trigger and activate their effect while they are sent to the Graveyard. This will also allows you to unclog your backrow for running another pieces of Fire Formation combo.

It's recommended to go after backrows first since it will be a huge problem if the monsters you special summoned get stopped by something like Floodgate Trap Hole or even Book of Moon.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 2200
Eternal Stream [R]
2 Level 4 "Fire Fist" monsters
You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 2 "Fire Fist" / "Fire Formation" cards in your Graveyard and/or face-up on your side of the field, and 2 cards in your opponent's Graveyard and/or face-up on their side of the field; shuffle those targets into the Deck. You can only use the effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal" once per turn.

Tiger King is pretty good if you get turn 1 for the search or if you need a monster negate, but Cardinal is if you want to make a push for game right away. It's a strong follow-up after using something like Yoko, Bear, or Gyokkou.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Lion Emperor
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Lion Emperor
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 2200 / DEF 200
Eternal Stream [R]
2 Level 3 FIRE monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 FIRE monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand, but you cannot Normal or Special Summon that monster, or a monster with the same name, for the rest of this turn.

You make this after synchroing into Horse Prince and then use Tensu to bring out another level 3 to XYZ into this. It helps with card recovery since this can bring back a monster, while Elephant can bring back a spell/trap.

Other Skill Suggestion

[Skill] descriptionUser
The Tie that Binds
Until the end of you turn, the ATK of all face-up monsters on your field increases by the number of monsters on your field times 100. This skill can only be used once per turn.
Common
Common

The Skill only gives a slight ATK boost. But these small boosts from your Skill and Fire Formation cards can add up to a significant amount.

Weaknesses

  • There’s very little space for backrow in this deck, which makes it quite susceptible to an OTK on Turn 2, but, taking out monsters would cause a significant drop in consistency.
  • The deck struggles to deal with high ATK monsters right away.
  • Floodgate Trap Hole, Paleozoic Canadia and Treacherous Trap Hole can all be used to prevent you from Synchro Summoning.

Other Useful Cards

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 0 / DEF 200
Burning Nova [SR]
During your Main Phase, if this card was Normal or Special Summoned this turn: You can Tribute 1 "Fire Fist" monster; Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck. You can only use the effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard" once per turn.

Usually Leopard will tribute itself to fetch a Fire Formation card. But the fact you can target another Fire Fist gives you the opportunity to get rid of a monster afflicted with something like Fiendish Chain, in case you find yourself in such a situation.

Psychic Wheeleder

Psychic Wheeleder
Psychic Wheeleder
EARTH Psychic ★3
ATK 600 / DEF 0
Dimension of the Wizards [UR]
If you control a Level 3 monster other than "Psychic Wheeleder", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Defense Position. You can only Special Summon "Psychic Wheeleder" once per turn this way. If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can target 1 monster on the field with less ATK than the Synchro Monster that used this card as material; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Psychic Wheeleder" once per turn.

In a Synchro Deck full of Level-3 monsters, Wheeleder is an obvious tech for easy Synchro combos and its free removal effect. You can Normal Summon a Level-3 non-Tuner Fire Fist then Special Summon Wheeleder to make a Level-6 Synchro. Alternatively, you can use this and the non-Tuner Level-3 to make a Rank-3 Xyz.

Three Trolling Trolls

Three Trolling Trolls
Three Trolling Trolls
WATER Beast-Warrior ★3
ATK 1000 / DEF 1300
Absolute Inferno [SR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Beast-Warrior monster in your GY; this card's Attribute and Level become the same as that monster's, until the end of this turn. During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Beast-Warrior monster with the same Attribute and Level as this card from your hand. You can only use each effect of "Three Trolling Trolls" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate either of this card's effects, except Beast-Warrior monsters.

If you don’t have Spirit available, you can Summon Three Trolling Trolls and turn it into a FIRE monster by targeting one of your “Fire Fist” monsters in the Graveyard. You can Summon Leopard, Tribute it, Set Tensu, activate the Continuous Spell and then Summon Three Trolling Trolls since it’s a Beast-Warrior-Type monster just like Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit.

During your Main Phase, Three Trolling Trolls will allow you to Special Summon a Beast-Warrior-Type monster with the same Level and Attribute as itself. Use this effect to Special Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard, Rooster or even Hawk from your hand and then Synchro Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Horse Prince.

Starting with a neos then an invoked version

I have no idea what fire fists gimmick is but invoked/neos won't let a fire archetype get away from their clutches, then bam a limit 2 or 3 to fire fists

Standard fire fist variant would be 3 axis, 3.5 axis, and 4 axis version. As you can see this decklist used 3 axis variant where it focused on making lvl 6 synchro and rank 3 xyz.

those axis will be defeated by the allied force

what about Rekindeling in this deck? is that a viable option?

I know the deck is featuring Rank 3 Xyz and level 6 Synchro, but isn't Tenki + Bear still a good thing as tech?

this deck is a nostalgia bait, rank 4 or rank 3, or syncro. it's a pile of crap

wow. I just tried this deck and it's fun. 5 straight win streak. But, yeah, sometimes turn 1 hand card sucks. No tuner OR all cards are tuners.

Yeah, Fire Fists are so much fun. And I easily made it to Legend with them.

Not worth the investment

Even with 3 spirits, Fire Fists still lack tons of tools in the current meta to properly work.

Maybe when the XYZ Fire Fists come these guys will finally become a tier 1 deck.

Xyz too, since you can just flip down the same-level monster your opponent just summoned, preventing your opponent from Xyz Summoning that turn.

After play testing a few variations of this I can say that the deck either draws a playable hand or nothing

There is no in-between with this deck

So there will be games where the first 5 cards you draw give you no plays and you can't realistically hope to survive 2-3 turns doing nothing in this rapid meta

Adding more extra deck mechanic really wouldn't help consistency at all

If we had Fire Formation - Tenki the deck would consistently draw a playable hand but even than this deck wouldn't be Tier 1 or 2 as it can be easily disrupted even if it wasn't inconsistent

You could play a lot of backrow cards to stall the game but at that point you might as well play something else as the power level of this isn't up to the standards of the current meta even with optimal draws
<< Anonymous

Oh and the level 4 version really suffers from the game not having a Main Phase 2

Because obviously you can't attack with Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear, set a Fire Formation from the deck and use it right away like could in the TCG
<< Anonymous
Darth Reply
I rode it full.
Ignoring the meta, the deck lacks clear victory condition. He suffers with a paradox: He depends on his spells and traps for his monsters to activate their effects. Except that your traps and spells are a complete crap.
Your Syncro is awful. Your tuner is awful, only access that horrible level 6 syncro.
For this deck to rotate it will be necessary a 6 trap staple like Canadia, Hole
Anonymous
You can also make a cheaper level 4 version of this deck, but it's still not great. Too bad, I love this archetype.
