The effect of banishing 1 monster from the Field is always more advantageous than the effect of banishing 1 random card from your opponent’s Hand, face down, because that card will be returned to your opponent’s hand during their End Phase.
This card’s effects vs the strict requirements to special summon it does not have a good trade-off, therefore it is hard to see the potential of this card performing in the current meta.
Chaos Zone functions by collecting chaos counters whenever a monster is being banished, these counters can be used to Special Summon monster(s) that were banished, which the level is equivalent to the number of counters on this card. Additionally if this card were to be destroyed by a card effect, you can search for a LIGHT or DARK monster from your deck, which level is less than or equal to the number of chaos counters on this card. Exchange of Night and Day allows you to balance the amount of LIGHT and DARK monsters in your Graveyard, because you can either send 1 LIGHT Warrior-type monster to the graveyard and pick 1 DARK Warrior-type monster from your deck, or vice versa. Beginning of Heaven and Earth can be an alternative to mill out 2 Black Luster Soldier + 1 Warrior-type monster (either LIGHT or DARK, to control the amount of LIGHT and DARK monsters in your Graveyard)
These are the recommended Warrior-type monsters with either LIGHT or DARK attributes to fill your Graveyard. Lightray Grepher is used because it allows you to discard another LIGHT monster, and banish another LIGHT monster from your deck. Dark Blade the Captain of the Evil World can be discarded via Exchange of Night and Day to draw Lightray Grepher from your deck.
This card is unfortunately inferior in most cases to Sacred Soldier. Cannot be normal summoned and special summoned by it's own effect only, also no battle phase if you use it's effect really limits this card. If you could still attack after you use it's effect, then it might be better.
You can use this with Super Soldier Ritual to be guaranteed even number of Light and Dark monsters. You can use Sniper Hunter and the new Gaia card as the material and GY control with the new Gaia card (Blue Skilled Magician) to place counters in Gateway to Chaos. Also snipe hunter is GY control with its discard effect).
