Pros

Useful for sending your cards from your hand to the graveyard, which can be activated in your opponent's turn since it's a quick-play spell.

Cons

Fusion oriented decks are not very common.
Not usable if your opponent does not have any cards in extra deck.

Tips, related cards, skills

Labyrinth Wall

You can discard this card to the graveyard by using Extra Gate to set up a special summon.

Damage Gate

Extra Gate

Damage Gate lets you Special Summon a monster from the Graveyard with less ATK than the battle damage you took from an opponent's attack. With that being said, after sending Labyrinth Wall that has 0 ATK to the graveyard, you can special summon it after taking any amount of battle damage.

3 Fabled Catsith - 3 extra gate (wait for them to summon monsters to see what synchro/xyz they are about to summon) (activate exta gate to destroy extra deck monster & discard catsith to destroy on field monsters) ... EZ GAME ;)
Also - 3 night beam for back row.

Does this card counter Shiranui?
If you have 3 of those and you keep chaining it to Spectralsword from the GY. That way you can guess the monster's level.

Who is the idiot who gave this stupid advice to a beginner?

This community is downgrading more & more by the day.

I'm not too used to playing Shiranui but there is a big risk involved in losing 1 resource. They on the other hand can perhaps make use of the synchro in the graveyard.

Perhaps a Shiranui player here could give you a better answer. So, is there anyone who can help this newbie?

I didn't really understand why this card would not work against Shiranui.

It works against Shiranui and most other Synchro decks. But it's a dead draw against some other meta decks. Just keep that in mind.

I suppose this could also counter neos Fusion, Predeplant, Quintet, Dark Cavalry, Purgatrio, etc.

Unless the opponent is a big P2W who has 3 copies of each.

No. It's -1 for the player at best. And it's useless against almost anything.

How is it a -1? Once synchro appears the amount of players using the extra deck will go up like 90%. You can easily predict what most players will summon by what monsters they summon, since it is a quick play card you'll disrupt their summon and glimpse at what their extra deck holds.
