  • Effect can be used continuously as long as you have cards to discard as cost.

Tips

Resources for Discard

Here are some cards you can discard as cost for the effect of Snipe Hunter.

  • When discarded, The Fabled Ganashia revives himself with an additional 200 attack.
  • Sinister Serpent can be retrieved from the graveyard during each of your standby phases, but keep in mind if he is sent to the graveyard the turn he was retrieved he will be banished during your opponent's end phase.
  • Discard Gusto Griffin to special summon another Gusto monster from your deck. A good target for this is Caam, Serenity of Gusto because she is able to recycle Gusto Griffin back into the deck for Reuse and also draw a card to replenish your hand.
  • Volcanic Shell, while in the graveyard, can search another copy of himself from the deck. This allows you to effectively replenish your hand and lets you activate the effect of Snipe hunter up to 3 times for the cost of 1 card in your hand while also thinning your deck.
  • You can discard Thunder Dragon to the Graveyard, draw 2 more Thunder Dragons to your Hand, and use as cost for Sniper Hunter.

  • This card’s discarding effect is treated as a cost to use its effect, therefore it does not support Dark World archetypes.
  • This card also support decks that requires discard, like Dark Necrofear, in order to utilize their effects from the graveyard.

This is the worst card in the pack. Now this is something that actually deserves a 3 or a 4 out of 10, since basically it destroys your own cards while forcing you to discard with it's mandatory effect. Poor souls the ones that get this crap.

Depends on if you know how to use it. There are certain decks where this is valuable if you're interested in using in-the-graveyard-effects. Dragon decks with Kidmodo or Arkbrave, Sylvan decks, etc.

I use this card to dump Rose Lover/Carrot to the Graveyard.

The destruction is just a bonus XD

I played today feb 2019 and in two straigh games I used 5 cards to destroy 1 card and it landed 1 and 6 !!!!! It is nerf !!!!

Yes. I keep rolling 1 and 6 when playing in duel academy event, it's more like a 50/50 change than a 67/33. Hope this makes you feel better.

It evens out. I ran Snipe Hunter in Destiny HEROes for quite a while. I won some games solely due to it sniping their entire field, and lost some solely due to discarding 3 cards failing to destroy a single threat.

I met a guy using a Gem-Knight deck, this card, and Destiny draw. I was winning by a huge margin... Then he used Destiny Draw. I was like "ok guy, give up now, tyou can't do anything". And Snipe Hunter was summoned. I lost.

Combine it with powerful rebirth and thunder sea-horse, and see what happens lol The guy who made a video also had blaze accelerator too.
