You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by discarding 1 card.

• Can be Special Summoned to the Field by discarding 1 card from your Hand.

• Requires 1 discard to Special Summon.
• Weak DEF stats.

• This card has some similar effect as Dynatherium except that Dynatherium can be Special Summoned without a discard.
• You can use Legion of Fiend Jester’s effect, to Tribute Summon The Tricky, then you can add 1 Spellcaster-Type Normal monster from your Deck to your Hand.
• This card also works well with Treeborn Frog as it can be discarded in order to Special Summon the Tricky, and then it can be returned to the Field, provided you do not control any Spell/Trap.

Tricky Spell 4 allows you to Special Summon “Tricky Tokens” up to the number of monsters your opponent controls, but you need to send 1 face-up The Tricky you control to the Graveyard. This potentially allows you to setup to Tribute summon a level 7 or higher monster. After you have Special Summon The Tricky, you can opt to equip it with Wonder Wand, and send The Tricky to the Graveyard to draw 2 cards. You can equip One-Shot Wand to The Tricky, and after damage calculation, you can send One-Shot Wand to the Graveyard to draw 1 card.

While you control The Tricky on the Field, you can use these Spellbooks’ effects. Spellbook of Power increases 1 of your Spellcaster monster’s ATK by 1000 until the End Phase. After that monster destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, you can add 1 Spellbook Spell card from your Deck to your Hand. You can use Spellbook of Fate by banishing up to 3 “Spellbook” cards from your Graveyard, and use the corresponding Effect. If you banished 1, you can Return 1 Set Spell/Trap from the Field to the Hand. If you banished 2, you can change any monster on the Field to face down position or face up attack position. If you banished 3, you can banish 1 card your opponent controls. Spellbook of the Master is able to replicate the effect of a “Spellbook” card that is in your Graveyard.

These are some of the cards that can be discarded as cost to Special Summon The Tricky.

• When discarded, The Fabled Ganashia revives himself with an additional 200 attack.
• Sinister Serpent can be retrieved from the graveyard during each of your standby phases, but keep in mind if he is sent to the graveyard the turn he was retrieved he will be banished during your opponent's end phase.
• Discard Gusto Griffin to special summon another Gusto monster from your deck. A good target for this is Caam, Serenity of Gusto because she is able to recycle Gusto Griffin back into the deck for Reuse and also draw a card to replenish your hand.

Blizzard Princess can be Tribute Summoned by using 1 Spellcaster monster as Tribute. This also causes your opponents unable to activate any Spell/Trap card for the rest of the turn. Since you can Special summon The Tricky by discarding 1 card, you can Normal Summon Hazy Flame Sphynx by Tributing The Tricky, and if you have discarded a FIRE monster, you can use Hazy Flame Sphynx’s effect to Special Summon that FIRE monster to the Field.
