Chronomaly is an XYZ focused deck. The deck itself can be pretty consistent because of its search and recovery effects, but using them with Trey's exclusive skill will also allow you to go into any Chronomaly XYZ or LIGHT "Number" XYZ extremely easily.
[Skill] description | User |
---|---|
Gateway to the Another Dimension Send 1 monster from your Deck/Extra Deck to your Graveyard and change the Level of all monsters on your field to the Level/Rank of the monster you have sent to the Graveyard. If you send a monster to your Graveyard from your Deck, you can send 1 monster to your Graveyard from your hand. This Skill will only activate if you begin the Duel with a Deck that follows the conditions below. Your Deck/Extra Deck contains no monsters other than "Chronomaly" monsters or LIGHT "Number" monsters. • Your Deck contains 12 or more "Chronomaly" monsters. | Trey |
Chronomaly Moai | EARTH Rock ★5 ATK 1800 / DEF 1600 |
For the Sake of Family: Trey Arrives! Unlock Event [UR] | |
If you control a face-up "Chronomaly" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. |
A simple special summon effect monster that you can search for. This will make it easier to XYZ when you have any Chronomaly monster on the field. Only 2 is needed in this version of the deck since you can search for it with either Nebra Disk or Crystal Skull, and Crystal Skull can recover it from the grave.
Chronomaly Nebra Disk | LIGHT Machine ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 1500 |
Arts of Atlantis [SR] | |
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Chronomaly" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Chronomaly Nebra Disk". If this card is in the Graveyard and all monsters you control are "Chronomaly" monsters (min. 1): You can Special Summon this card in Defense Position. You cannot activate cards or effects during the turn you activate this effect, except "Chronomaly" cards and effects. You can only use 1 "Chronomaly Nebra Disk" effect per turn, and only once that turn. |
This is the monster that you most often will want to start with. It's a searcher to any of your other Chronomaly cards, not just a monster.
If your opponent responds with a floodgate trap hole, you won't be able to activate some of the other Chronomaly monsters' special summon effects, so it's better to search for either Tula Guardian or the field spell. Otherwise, searching for the Crystal Skull can be a decent option since it puts a Chronomaly in the grave and acts as another searcher.
Once you have 2 Chronomaly monsters on the field, activate the skill so you can go into any of the chronomaly XYZ.
The effect of being able to special summon from the graveyard is used when you have a different Chronomaly monster on the field, and it can be a combo if you use the rank 4 XYZ Chateau Huyuk.
Chronomaly Tuspa Rocket | EARTH Machine ★4 ATK 1000 / DEF 1000 |
Duelist Road: World Duel Carnival Event [SR] | |
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; it loses ATK equal to the Level/Rank of the monster sent to the Graveyard x 200. A "Number" Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ●This card can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase. You can only use each effect of "Chronomaly Tuspa Rocket" once per turn. |
Tuspa Rocket can allows you to send 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your Deck/Extra Deck and lower 1 of your opponnent's monste ATK stat equal to the Level/Rank of monster that you sent x200. You can use this to put Nebra Disk into the graveyard so that it can be special summoned from the grave.
Additionally, you can make up to 2 attacks on monsters (direct attack doesn't count) during each Battle Phase when it used as 1 of the Xyz Materials.
Chronomaly Crystal Bones | LIGHT Rock ★3 ATK 1300 / DEF |
Trey at Lvl 11, 21, and 35 [UR] | |
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When you do: You can Special Summon 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Chronomaly Crystal Bones". |
A pretty good opener for turn 2 or higher. If you have Crystal Skull in your hand, then make sure you activate Crystal Skull's effect first so that Crystal Bones can special summon from the graveyard.
Chronomaly Crystal Skull | LIGHT Rock ★3 ATK 900 / DEF 600 |
Arts of Atlantis [UR] | |
If you control a face-up "Chronomaly" monster: You can discard this card to the Graveyard; add 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand, except "Chronomaly Crystal Skull". The effect of "Chronomaly Crystal Skull" can only be used once per turn. |
If you searched this with Nebra Disk, you can activate Crystal Skull to search for Chronomaly Moai to pair with Nebra Disk to XYZ. But if you start the turn with this and have yet to normal summon a monster, Chronomaly Crystal Bones can be a good starter to open with.
Since the field spell and Number 9: Dyson Sphere needs to banish a monster from your graveyard, it's better to use Crystal Skull's effect to search from the deck instead of recovering from the graveyard.
Chronomaly Technology | Normal Spell |
Trey at Lvl 30 [UR] | |
Target 1 "Chronomaly" monster in your Graveyard; banish it, then look at the top 2 cards of your Deck, add 1 of them to your hand, and send the other to the Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Chronomaly Technology" per turn. You cannot Special Summon any monsters the turn you activate this card, except "Chronomaly" monsters. |
You can use this to put Nebra Disk into the grave so that it can be special summoned from the grave.
Generation Force | Normal Spell |
Selection Box Vol.06 [SR] | |
If you control an Xyz Monster: Add 1 "Xyz" card from your Deck to your hand. |
Searcher for Xyz Block and Xyz Tribalrivals
Xyz Block | Counter Trap |
Shining Hope [SR] | |
When your opponent activates a monster effect: Detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster you control; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster. |
Xyz Tribalrivals | Continuous Trap |
Selection Box Vol.04 [SR] Mechanic Souls [SR] | |
Face-up Xyz Monsters on the field with 2 or more Xyz Materials cannot be destroyed by card effects. After damage calculation, if an Xyz Monster you control battles an opponent's monster: Destroy that opponent's monster. That Xyz Monster must have 2 or more Xyz Materials attached to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis | LIGHT Machine ★6 ATK 2600 / DEF 3000 |
Arts of Atlantis [UR] | |
2 Level 6 monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 "Number" monster in your Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of that equipped monster. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then send the monster equipped by this effect to the Graveyard; halve your opponent's Life Points. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. |
This can be a decent turn 1 monster to summon, even if you don't have any "Number" monster in the grave yet. It can either be a high ATK wall, or a quick and easy half LP damage.
Since this version doesn't have any level 6 Chronomaly monster, you can only go into this by sending a rank 6 XYZ into the grave, so send Force Focus since it's a "Number" card into the grave. This will make Atlandis' ATK into 4000. If it's turn 1, you can choose to do a quick half LP damage since you can't attack anyway.
Number C39: Utopia Ray | LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Infinite Ray [UR] | |
3 Level 4 LIGHT monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK and 1 monster your opponent controls loses 1000 ATK, until the End Phase. You must have 1000 Life Points or less to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Number 39: Utopia | LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Shining Hope [UR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack. When this card is targeted for an attack, while it has no Xyz Materials: Destroy this card. |
Number 25: Force Focus | LIGHT Machine ★6 ATK 2800 / DEF 2400 |
Shining Hope [SR] | |
2 Level 6 monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Level 5 or higher Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate the effects of that opponent's face-up monster, until the end of the turn. |
Most likely going to be rarely summoned, but it's here in the deck to be used for Atlandis' effect.
Most high level monsters almost always have effects, so being able to negate them is a strong effect. But its limitations of having them be a high level monster is a huge issue that drops it down to a decent monster to use if you know what you're up against. It's close to useless if you're going against XYZ decks since this can't negate them.
Number 36: Chronomaly Chateau Huyuk | LIGHT Machine ★4 ATK 2000 / DEF 2500 |
Arts of Atlantis [SR] | |
2 Level 4 "Chronomaly" monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change its ATK to 0 until the end of this turn. You can Tribute 1 "Chronomaly" monster, then target 1 monster your opponent controls, whose current ATK is different from its original ATK; destroy that target. |
A way to deal with high level monsters that you can't get over, or a way to deal the additional 2000 damage finisher after using Atlandis' effect. Attacking a monster this way will also prevent hand traps like Kiteroid, or Batllin' Boxer Veil.
The second effect is situationally useful since some decks uses field spells that can increase their attack, allowing you to destroy them without having to detach a material.
Chronomaly Mud Golem | EARTH Rock ★4 ATK 1700 / DEF 1000 |
Trey Roaming Event [SR] | |
If a "Chronomaly" monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. |
If you aren't using the skill that will make all monsters you control into the same level, you'll want to bring some other level 4 monsters to rank 4 XYZ. Mud Golem is a decent one to bring since it can be situationally useful for when you have it with a high attack Atlandis or Pyramid Eye Tablet on the field.
Chronomaly Aztec Mask Golem | EARTH Rock ★4 ATK 1500 / DEF 1000 |
For the Sake of Family: Trey Arrives! Unlock Event [SR] | |
During your turn, if you have activated a "Chronomaly" Spell Card previously this turn, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only control 1 "Chronomaly Aztec Mask Golem". |
The only level 4 that can special summon itself to help make a rank 4 faster, but the restriction can be limiting.
You can search for a Chronomaly spell with Nebra Disk, but doing this will mean that you can't thin the deck by going Nebra Disk to search for Crystal Skull into another monster.
Pyramid Eye Tablet can be a good spell to search to have two 2000+ ATK monsters on the field in a turn, or City Babylon in the later turns once you have more monsters in the grave.
Chronomaly Tula Guardian | EARTH Rock ★5 ATK 1800 / DEF 900 |
Trey Roaming Event [UR] For the Sake of Family: Trey Arrives! Unlock Event [UR] | |
If there is a face-up Field Spell Card on the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only control 1 "Chronomaly Tula Guardian". |
Mostly used as just an easy monster to get on the field. If you have this in your hand together with Crystal Bones (or Crystal Skull to go into Crystal Bones), you'll want to activate their effects first if you can. Once 2 monsters are summoned, special summon Tula Guardian before you use your skill. This will make all 3 into the same level if you want to make a certain play.
Chronomaly City Babylon | Field Spell |
Arts of Atlantis [R] | |
Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Chronomaly" monster in your Graveyard with the same Level as the banished monster; Special Summon it. |
Searchable by using Nebra Disk. Pick this up if you have Tula Guardian in your hand to get an easy monster on the board.
You can use the skill to send a card from the deck to fuel your graveyard. A monster removal combo that you can do:
Chronomaly Pyramid Eye Tablet | Continuous Spell |
Trey Lvl 10, 18, and 33 [SR] | |
All "Chronomaly" monsters you control gain 800 ATK. |
A simple "Chronomaly" spell card to use so that you can activate "Family Gift" skill. The ATK boost is decent enough that it can help even the level 4 monsters become a threat.
Barrage Blast | Continuous Trap |
Heart of Xyz [SR] | |
Once per turn, you can detach any number of materials from Machine Xyz Monsters you control, then target that many cards on the field; destroy them. If a Machine Xyz Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect while this card is in your GY: You can banish this card and 1 Machine Xyz Monster from your GY; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the banished monster's Rank x 100. |
Barrage Blast is a decent continuous trap with multiple card removal effects if you control Machine Xyz Monsters with at least 2 Xyz Materials.
The second effect will inflict additional damage while your Machine-Type Xyz Monster is destroyed by battle or card effect. In the case of this Deck, the amount of damage will be like this:
Number 9: Dyson Sphere | LIGHT Machine ★9 ATK 2800 / DEF 3000 |
Darkness Gimmick [UR] | |
2 Level 9 monsters Once per Battle Step, during your opponent's turn, if this card with Xyz Material is attacked: Negate the attack (this is a Quick Effect). When this card is targeted for an attack while it has no Xyz Materials: You can target 2 monsters in your Graveyard; attach those targets to this card as Xyz Materials. During your Main Phase 1: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card can attack your opponent directly this turn. Your opponent must control a monster with higher ATK than this card for you to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Not a part of the Chronomaly archetype, but it has a pretty strong effect. It can be quite difficult for your opponent to get over if they don't have good spell/traps, and the direct attack effect helps get over difficult boss monsters.
Leviair the Sea Dragon | WIND Sea Serpent ★3 ATK 1800 / DEF 1600 |
Voltage of the Metal [UR] | |
2 Level 3 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 banished Level 4 or lower monster; Special Summon that target to your side of the field. |
With no monsters on the field, you can Xyz into this without using up a normal summon by special summoning Crystal Bones and Crystal Skull.
Leviair will let you recover some banished cards that were used for the City Babylon's effect. You can then follow it up with normal summoning a level 4 to make a rank 4.
Number 70: Malevolent Sin | DARK Insect ★4 ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3. |
A decent form of monster removal, but it can help secure some games, and to remove opponent's XYZ materials. Keep in mind that you can't use its effects right away if you special summon Nebra Disk from the grave.
Diamond Dire Wolf | EARTH Beast ★4 ATK 2000 / DEF 1200 |
Voltage of the Metal [SR] Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster you control and 1 other card on the field; destroy them. |
If you still have a level 4 on your field at the start of the turn, there will be times where you can special summon a level 4 to make a rank 4. You can make Diamond Dire Wolf to deal with your opponent's backrow before committing with a normal summon.
Steelswarm Roach | DARK Fiend ★4 ATK 1900 / DEF 0 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it. |
You can't use Roach's effect the turn it's summoned if you special summon Nebra Disk from the grave, but it's not really a big issue since Roach won't be using it the turn it's summoned anyway.
Number 20: Giga-Brilliant | LIGHT Insect ★3 ATK 1800 / DEF 1800 |
Number Hunter: Kite Tenjo Unlock Event [SR] | |
2 Level 3 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all face-up monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK. |
This is mainly to go into Corebage, but its effect can also help to give your monsters a decent ATK boost, especially with Pyramid Eye Tablet Active.
Just keep in mind that ranking up to Corebage needs 2 Xyz materials, so don't activate its effect if you want the DEF monster removal effect.
Gorgonic Guardian | DARK Rock ★3 ATK 1600 / DEF 1200 |
Arts of Atlantis [SR] | |
2 Level 3 Rock-Type monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes 0, and if it does, its effects are negated. These effects last until the end of this turn. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field with 0 ATK; destroy it. |
Essentially a quick-play monster negate or to be used during the damage step to more safely destroy monsters during battle. This can be difficult for your opponent to get over, but it doesn't have high ATK to survive that long.
Digital Bug Corebage | LIGHT Insect ★5 ATK 2200 / DEF 1800 |
Infinite Ray [R] | |
2 or more Level 5 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 3 or 4 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; shuffle it into the Deck. Once per turn, if the battle position of a monster(s) on the field is changed (except during the Damage Step): You can attach 1 Insect-Type monster from your Graveyard to this card as Xyz Material. |
Special summoned using Malevolent Sin as the material. Strong form of monster removal, but can't use its effects if you used Nebra Disk from the grave.
Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch | LIGHT Psychic ★4 ATK 2200 / DEF 2200 |
Voltage of the Metal [R] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per Chain, during either player's turn, if 2 or more monsters with the same name are on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose 1 monster among those with the same name, and destroy all other monsters with that name. While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon monsters with the same name as any of the monster(s) chosen for this card's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 2 "Heraldic Beast" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard. |
Another option for a rank 4 XYZ is since its effect can be situationally useful. Doesn't really have any synergy with Atlandis since it has lower ATK, and Atlandis is summoned by sending Force Focus anyway.
