Drowning Mirror Force | Deck and Rulings

When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: Shuffle all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls into the Deck.

• Shuffles all attack position monsters from your opponent’s Field back to their Deck, when they declare a direct attack.

• Cannot be used if your opponent’s monster attacks your monster.

• Due to the heavy usage of Hey, Trunade! As Spell / Trap removal in the current meta, it may be quite challenging to use this card.

The Legendary Fisherman cannot be targeted for Attacks as long as there is Umi or A Legendary Ocean on the Field, therefore your opponents are forced to make a direct attack, hence using Drowning Mirror Force can potentially clear their field and open up for your direct attack next turn.

Astral Barrier forces your opponent’s attack to become a direct attack instead, therefore you are able to use Drowning Mirror Force to shuffle all their attack position monsters back to the Deck.

Since this monster can be easily Special Summoned to the Field to make a direct attack in order to bypass your monsters defense, using Drowning Mirror Force will return it to the Extra Deck, however you opponent can chain with another Mask Change to halt Masked HERO Anki’s direct attack and send it to the Graveyard, since the ruling is that, when a monster that declared an attack is sent to the Graveyard, then it is no longer treated as a monster that declared an attack.
