quite the opposite actually, widspread ruin is better, it doesn't target and it allows you to choose the monster you want to destroy. Very useful when there is more than one golem.
Hey Guys, i have a question surrounding this card. My opponent activated a Sakuretsu Armor to stop my Aromage Bergamot and nothing happened. My card didn't get destroyed and my opponent lost all their Life Points. I saved the replay for you to watch: https://duellinks.konami.net/att/05907c58fef8da0dd3eca48652a3a56a46e7931993
If someone knows why the Sakuretsu Armor didn't work please tell me. Is this a bug or just weird ruling?
Think about it for just a minute.
Widespread is better than Sakuretsu for 2 reasons:
1. does not target,
2. cannot be evaded by switching out for another special summoned monster.
That being said, a deck with Balance skill and 3 of each is gonna be pretty sick.
You literally won't be able to destroy any of their monsters by battle.
Sakuretsu Armor is far worse than Widespread Ruin, for a start this card targets and doesn't bypass dodging effects like Mask Change, and it also does not get rid of the biggest threat regardless of what monster attacks.
